Get your groove on by walking East Cliff Drive and taking in all the sights! We want you to enjoy our active lifestyle that we have here in Santa Cruz by surfing, sailing, golfing, hiking, biking, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, you name it - we want you to go out and do it while you are here! That's why you will find 2 beach cruiser bikes provided here for your use. The spirit of Aloha welcomes you and invites you to unwind in style. High-end furnishings and luxurious amenities surround you in this coastal setting. Relax and read a book on your back patio, head down to check the waves with a glass of wine at sunset, get your work done on your laptop while hearing the waves crash against the cliffs, or bring a blanket down to the sand for some downtime. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances, including a gas stove, dishwasher and microwave, dishes and cookware. For you coffee lovers, we have a Chemex pour over carafe and an automatic coffee maker for your drinking pleasure. We provide boutique craft roasting coffee to our guests here at the Aloha House, we don't mess around. As much as we want you to relax and unwind here with us, and believe in an active lifestyle, we also believe in clean living. Aloha house provides guests with high quality steam distilled drinking water for your hydration needs. H20 for you, is so pure you can taste the difference! The master bedroom has a queen size bed, smart TV and beautiful tropical views out its sliding door. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed, shares the same beautiful view, and has ample closet space stocked with additional supplies for your stay with us. The third bedroom has twin sized bunk beds.Toys, high chair and a pack n' play are available on site. Beach towels, beach chairs, shampoo and complimentary soaps are provided for your use.All of the utilities, cable TV, Wi-Fi, laundry, gardener, BBQ and outdoor dining table are provided. This house has off-street parking and no permit is required on this street for additional guests! Please enjoy a hot outdoor shower to wash off the sand after you have walked up from the beach. Fantastic beach location allows you to follow the sandy footprints straight to the neighborhood beach for sandcastles and s'mores at sunset. The house was a perfect fit for our family. Very comfortable with a dining table that sat 6, a great space for watching movies together, a room for each pairing, and 2 cruiser bikes to boot! Also, loved the location being within a block from the beach (and that convenient general store)!The only slight drawback was the bathroom sink plumbing which leaked out onto the floor- but I was able to put it back together and put the small trash can under which solved the problem pretty quickly.

Awesome original cottage!

We loved our stay in this sweet and very comfortably appointed space! It had everything we needed for a weekend, the sunny deck out back and outdoor shower are a bonus, as is the dedicated parking spot walking distance from pleasure point. The neigborhood was friendly and quiet at night too. We’ll definitely be back!

Cozy home near the ocean

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cozy house in Capitola! It’s only a 5 minute walk to the ocean! There is also a cute little market close by with grocery items, along with coffee and other made to order meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We walked the oceanfront many times during our stay! The house was also perfect for our family with a very nice backyard for lounging during the day. We had a fantastic time and hope to return again!

Wonderful home in beautiful location!

My family stayed for a weekend and really enjoyed the house. With 2 kids (5yo and 19mo), it was nice to have a secured front yard for playing, a high chair, lots of toys and books in the closet, and of course bunk beds. There is good WiFi and Netflix provided on the main TV. Very comfortable furnishings and a well-appointed kitchen. The surfer in our group could walk 5 minutes to Pleasure Point break, and we made multiple trips to the little market there for coffees and snacks. Quiet neighborhood that is very convenient for lots of Santa Cruz amenities and attractions. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect home for our family as it provides the coziness we needed as we come from a larger house typically. Makes us want to even downsize our house to something this simple. Backyard was a little “furry” but manageable.

Location is great. Bikes were awesome. Host was very kind and hands off even with small electrical difficulties. He was super quick to respond. We had a few friends swing by and they want their families to stay here. We’d stay again for sure. Clean, well stocked, great backyard.

Great house and great location! Owner Andy was easy to communicate with and took care of all our needs. Well laid-out home and great yard, plenty of room and very comfortable. Walking distance to cute market with great food and excellent surf spot. My son loved all the kids books and legos at the house. Highly recommended!

Great place

Everything was as stated and even better! We love the place. The decor was perfect and peaceful much better than other houses in the area. Yes there is a tiny private cottage in the back with its own space and own walkway no privacy issues at all! There are great hedges and a fence that block the view. The outdoor shower had warm water too! We love the place and will go back! Perfect for a family or a couple! Thanks for a great stay!

I'd stay here again. There are pluses and minuses. Positives: Location is great--easy walk to the stairs. Clean and comfortable. Great communication with owner! Areas of improvement: Wifi is weak, Heater location leaves bath and bedroom kinda chilly. But like I said, I'd so stay here again. Thanks for a terrific stay!

Week in East Santa Cruz

We had a great time staying in Aloha House. The home is cozier and better appointed than indicated in the listing. Good kitchen appliances, great outdoor seating for dinner or breakfast, wonderful water pressure! 1.5 miles to Capitola downtown in one direction and 2 miles from the Harbor in the other, well located for everything. Would definitely go back

Family Vacation

Everything was wonderful regarding the Aloha house in Santa Cruz; however, the one complaint we have is the fact that the website does not mention having a bungalow in the back yard that also houses guests. We pulled into the drive way and Andy, the owner, was throwing away trash and at that time informed us that they were staying there. At that point it felt as though he was watching over our up-keeping of their property. Although Andy seemed to have left, another guest arrived the following evening and was not the friendliest. Our kids had enjoyed playing cornhole in the back, but no longer did so as they felt uncomfortable. We now know by reading the renters agreement in far more detail that it states in there that there is a separate property located in the back. My suggestion is for Andy to tell the tenants renting his house that there are guests staying in his bungalow as well. Everything else was wonderful and we would stay here again!
