Comfortable property in an absolutely stunning redwood grove. Easy access to amenities in town to the north and Santa Cruz to the south. Perfect Basecamp for a mountain biking trip.

Amazing setting, redwoods and river! The cabin was nice, clean with a kitchen and large bathroom. A place to sit outside and grill!

Nice cabin in the redwoods

Pros: It's in the redwoods and they have a nice deck and it's great to hear the river which runs right next to the cabins. The set-up is very nice.
Cons: Just the smell inside our cabin and possibly a more comfortable single bed and futon.
Location: Henry Cowell State Park is very close and has trails and huge redwood trees. Santa Cruz is a short drive away with beaches and lots of things to do.
There was a horrible odor (strong cleaning product/masking other smell?) that was so strong my husband couldn't sleep. Single bed had horrible smelling sheets and futon was like sleeping on springs. Double bed was fine. Leaving the windows open all night helped a little, but not much. We were in #6 so I don't know if all cabins smelled, but there's no reason to pay money to sleep in a place like that.
