Had stayed at a Best Western Plus the previous night that was excellent. This Santa Cruiz facility was a terrible experience - filthy carpets, worn and dirty furniture, mold on the bathroom wall, paint missing in spots, and air conditioning was not working. First told it needed new batteries, then as temperature continued to soar to 80, called again for repairs, and while waiting took out the filters - which must have never been changed or cleaned since they were installed. They were black with dust and mold. I have asthma so this was not a welcome discovery. Although I had been told they were sold out, I asked for a change of rooms and was moved to a higher floor. Cleanliness some better but still not bearing close inspection. Parking is underground with no security. Vagrants can enter and access the hallways. Found a homeless woman outside our door the next morning, sleeping in the corner. Not impressed with the whole operation. One kind point - Joseph from the staff tried his best to assist us and although not maintenance, did clean the filters for us.

Everything was great. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was great. The only thing you could ask for more of is parking.

Our favorite part of the stay was the excellant breakfast buffet. Bacon, scambled eggs, biscuts and gravy, waffles and all the other things that go with it. Clean and plenty of tables to eat at. The bed was very comfortable and the room was bigger then expected. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will stay there in the future.

CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS BAD. PARKING WAS LIMITED!! i had a party of 14 so having our room when we get there was a must. Everyone was tired. When we got there they told is that our 3 rooms were not ready. We got there at 6 and check in started at 4. He told us to wait. We were waiting in the lobby and it was HOT! We waited 30 mins and I finally went back up there to ask if they were done cleaning it. I did not care if they had one of our room ready, we needed AC. TOOK US TWO HOURS TO GET OUR THREE ROOMS! If you want parking, come early and don't leave the hotel afterwards. When we came back from an errands, there were no more parking. They told us to park by the street and get up early to move our car because they will come by and check to give out tickets for parking there. OVERALL the room was spacious and breakfast was delicious. All you need to do os call before hand if they have your rooms ready and come early for parking. I RECOMMEND SALA THAI ACROSS THE STREET!

Everything about the property was exceptional. It was on a great location. Facility was clean, room was clean and spacious. Only con was the comfort of the mattress.
