"SB Down Town Get Away"
The hotel and staff was amazing, the ease of getting around was great and still tucked away from the hustle and madness of the down town noise and traffic. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody want to enjoy a romantic, or Business trip or just to get away and enjoy city life with a small town feel.

Love the Mediterranean feeling ...we had a wonderful room with 2 queen beds and TWO bathrooms. Nicely renovated and enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast.

"Great Place to Stay"
The staff could not have been more helpful. They anticipated my needs and took care of them before I asked. The breakfast saved me a bundle: coffee, juice, scrambled eggs, bacon, cereals, fruit, etc. My only regret is that I could not use the pool due to my schedule.

"Great Location, pricey on the weekends"
The Wayfarer is a great boutique hotel that is conveniently located to all the action on State Street. Though close to the train station, that was not a problem in the room as the ac cancels out any noise. Since this an upscale hostel as well, I found the guests of the Wayfarer to be interesting. The price difference on the weekend is significant and you get charged for parking. I would go again but only during the week.

"Amazing Stay! Forgot it was a Best Western!"
The hotel was so quaint and the staff were so friendly and helpful, it didn't feel like we were staying in a Best Western, but more a unique, cozy Inn! Rooms were a bit dated, but very clean and comfortable. Was great having a restaurant onsite too! Good food and very reasonable prices. Being walking distance to downtown Santa Barbara was so nice too! No need to drive or take a Lyft. Next time we come back to Santa Barbara we will definitely stay here!

"Nice hotel and setting didn't get what we paid for"
We paid for a larger room but we're given a smaller one. We of course didn't know until we were already in room. Nothing hotel could do because payment went through Travelocity. Also one of the room keys didn't work, had one key that did but it took my husband's muscles to turn the handle enough to open the door. Restaurant that was recommended by staff was closed. Other than that, had a nice getaway.

"Location is great. Hotel is not. "
For the price paid, this hotel was a disappointment. It was run down, old, and came complete with strange smells. They do a halfway decent job of "trying" to keep it up, but that doesn't stop this hotel for showing its age. I think the best way to describe my experience is to say I felt like I was staying in a cheap Motel 6 that had been renamed. Now here's the good part. This hotel is located right across the street from the beach, so if that's what really matters to you, then you might overlook the condition of the rooms. It's also within walking distance to restaurants and shops, so I'd rate this place very highly on location. Unfortunately for me, I was there for the wineries about 25 miles away, not necessarily for the beach. I would have gotten a hotel closer to the wineries, but I wanted to be near more restaurants and stores. Almost all of Santa Barbara's small hotels are outrageously overpriced because it's a touristy beach town near wine country, so despite what I've said above, this is about the best you'll get (especially near the beach) for a reasonable price. I'd recommend this particular hotel to others only if they care much more about the location than they do about the condition of the hotel.

"Charming Beauty in a Great location"
We LOVED the Harbour House Inn! Our room (which the owner said was the smallest on the property) was cozy and beautiful! It was immaculately clean. There were so many amazing small touches - a full-size coffee pot, real plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, and silverware, huge, soft towels, fast internet, and Netflix on the TV. The front desk staff were helpful and kind. We borrowed bikes and locks to ride to the wharf and down the boardwalk on the beach. We didn't want to leave! Don't look any further for a place to stay in Santa Barbara - the Harbour House Inn is your best option! I am already plotting ways to get back.

"One of the Best"
This hotel is extremely beautiful. The room was as good as it gets and the setting was outstanding. The beautiful plantings, the view of the water, everything was well thought out and I could have spent the rest of my life there and been very happy. The staff was terrific, very caring, especially the car hops who were so friendly and helpful. This was one of the best hotel experiences I ever had. Hope to be back there in the near future.
