Ocean getaway
We needed a weekend getaway and this was definitely the place. Patio had the View of the ocean, private and serene. Waking up to the crashing waves and the sun rising as well as watching the sunset together. To top off our stay on our last day we saw dolphins from the patio. Even the beds were extremely comfortable. We did the deluxe room with patio

Location is great. Oceanfront. But that’s about it. Rooms smelt bad, very outdated. Filthy carpet in the rooms. Definitely don’t recommend staying here. Might be worth driving a little further and finding a better place. Definitely not worth the price you pay. Minus it’s ocean front location, feels like a motel 6 (which actually might be nicer)

We were visiting the nearby State Park and Elephant Seal Viewing Area, both of which were outstanding! The front desk staff was friendly and check in was quick. Room was clean with the fire place ready to be used if desired. The restaurant was great, especially the Prime Rib special! It would have been better if the rooms had a mini kitchen with utensils.

Location is beautiful. Blankets had wholes in them. We had to ask for a vacuum ourselves to clean our carpet . . . Which surprisingly they did let us vacuum our own. Fridge was not temping the best

The room was very nice. The beach was hard to walk on. Too many rocks and debris. The room had a really nice view of the beach and the grounds. Balcony was set up very nice.

**Cavalier Oceanfront Resort** 9415 Hearst Dr, San Simeon, CA 93452 Our stay at the Cavalier Oceanfront Resort was fantastic. The hotel offers beautiful views and is conveniently located close to Hearst Castle. The room was clean, and the staff was wonderful, especially Roxy, who was incredibly helpful during the check-in process. The check-in and check-out were easy, and the stay was very affordable for such a stunning view. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great place for a quiet stay Loved that ocean view across the play area. Staff is friendly. The fireplace rooms might have a wood fire smell (just open the window) as the rooms are small. Just minutes to the beach

**Don't waste your money**
This is nothing like it says it is. It isn't a resort it's more like a motel 5!! didn't even make it to motel 6 status. it's dirty the curtains had holes, the carpet was filthy. The electricity kept shutting off and on. the internet was bad!! booked it for 6 nights and left after the 1st night. You can't get to the beach without climbing down the mountain. It was one of the worst places I have ever stayed!!!

Out of the Heat
A quick getaway from the heat. This will now be our go to coastal resort. Comfortable bed. Chairs with view were nice. We enjoyed the on-site restaurant. Nice and quiet, low key but near enough to sights and Cambria, Cayucos and Morro Bay. Dog friendly, but watch out for stickers on the grassy areas. We will definitely be back as the staff is great. We didn’t use the pools but will next time we stay. Ragged Point not far and of course Hearst Castle right there.
