The only reason I did not give a 5 Star rating over all was due to the construction, all the staff was great, only one older gentleman at the outside Restaurant would get a 0 rating due to his personality and attitude, everyone else was great, sorry that forgot the grumpy old man name.

The hotel is decent with having everything you need. Great beach with sand no rocks, medium size pool, dining options, nice lounge areas. However if you are staying for a week it all becomes quickly not enough. Restaurants serve pretty much the same food, not much variety. Food is expensive for its quality. Pool is dirty by the end of the day and not cleaned as often as it should be. Housekeeping is not good. Our room had dirty floor when we checked in. Not swept with hair and peices of dirt and sand everywhere. This was very annoying. Hotel charges extra $50 per night for housekeeping, towels, umbrellas etc. but housekeeping is bad and one day they did bot even come. In general lobby is very nice and amenities are decent and convenient. Beach is the beat part of it. But I would recommend that they improve on the aspects that I mentioned in this post.

The property was nice and the staff was excellent. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because I made the booking a month ago with the expectation that I would have connected rooms. A day before arriving I called to confirm the connecting rooms and they too stated I would. However, upon arrival they told me the rooms were not connected which was an inconvenience and disappointing since I have small children that require supervision. Other than this issue, everything was top notch. Thanks!

We didn’t get to enjoy all the resort had to offer as I was in the hospital 3 of our 4 days. However from all I saw the hotel is very nice clean tons of amenities, restaurant, bar, casino and a gorgeous beach. I did get to see that view the one day I did have in the actual room.

Loud construction noise at 7:30/8am

Do not stay here until they are done with their renovations. The very loud construction noise started at 7:30-8:30am in the morning and continued throughout the day. It was impossible to sleep through or relax in the room. The walls were literally vibrating and it sounded like a jackhammer in the room. Unfortunately I can’t post the videos with this review. When I asked the front desk if we could switch rooms or if the construction could start later, they were completely dismissive and offered zero accommodation. Also, just because check in is at 4, do not expect your room to be ready by then. Our room was not ready until 5:45. I observed the front desk staff be completely dismissive to other customers who complained about the wait. Isla Verde is a great location, just stay somewhere else if you want to sleep in or relax on your vacation. If you have any issue during your stay here, don’t count on the hotel helping you. The pool staff at the towel station and restaurant/bar were delightful though.
