All the essentials

Hotel was very nice and had all the essentials. Free shuttle to/from the airport, very nice and accommodating staff, clean rooms, and nice location and view of the Bay. Only thing I would improve is the workout gym and pool..just a big small. The gym had the essentials but not a huge variety of equipment. Overall would definitely recommend.

Nice Hotel

The hotel was nice, the staff was friendly and the room was very comfortable. the were doing some work on one of the rooms on the flooding was on and had plastic around but I can't hold that against them. The only thing I did have a problem with was, the $45 they charge to park your car. I'm a gust at your Hotel, shouldn't parking be free or at least discounted ?

Great hotel

We only stayed one night but it was a great hotel and a great location. It is close enough to walk to Little Italy, Gaslamp District, Seaport Village. The staff was friendly and valet was helpful. Room was clean. We would stay here again!

Hmm

Pros: Staff
Cons: Room issue, security should protrol more, bunch of drunk kids were very loud until 4am on the 7th floor
Location: great location
Overall good experience, but my blanket in my bed smelled like womens perfume, it made me concerned maybe the blankets were not washed? Everything else was great including the staff.

Spiffy hotel!

Loves the showerhead. Comfortable sleep. Good cocktails and fish tacos in the bar. Room service was darling. So was housekeeping.

Nice Hotel near Gaslamp

Pros: The hotel was clean and staff helpfull
Cons: Sound proofing a jointing rooms and fresh air into rooms
Location: Location was fair, but we did not like being next to San Diego Sheriff's Dept. or harassed by the homeless when walking near the hotel
Hotel was clean and staff were helpful. Wish location was closer to Gaslamp district. Hotel is next to SD Sheriff Department. Was harassed by homeless when walking back to hotel. Wish windows opened to get fresh air instead of just HVAC system. Our dining out in Little Italy and Gaslamp areas were great. For a upscale hotel I was surprised we could hear next door rooms conversations and TV to all hours of the night. But overall enjoyed our stay.

Outstanding

Location: Zoo, USS Midway, Segway tour, Balboa Park , Dinner cruise etc
From our registration to our departure this was one of our best stays ever. Helen checked us in and made sure we had a good room with a view. We mentioned our 46th anniversary and later that evening when returning to the hotel we arrived to find strawberries chocolate and champagne ! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We will be returning to the Westin .

This hotel is in downtown San Diego

Pros: Nothin really to like
Location: This hotel is downtown so there are place to go and see but better plan on walking everywhere because there not parking available on a weekend.
The room had a musty odor, the bath room door did close correctly, the parking was outrageously expensive, Westin wants $44 a night, as a guest, to park in their garage and the staff was totally unfriendly with exception of one bell hop.

Too many additional charges

The hotel is beautiful and close to the beach and other San Diego attractions, it's right downtown if you're there for business. Unfortunately, the only parking at the hotel is Valet, which is an additional $44/day. the valet is on a side street which isn't easy to get to. They charge for wifi, which seems like pure greed. The breakfast is pretty expensive, even for hotel guests. The hotel is nice, but for what you pay, you'd think it included more than your bed.

Would go again in a heartbeat

Pros: Everything, particularly walking distance to Seaport Village.
Cons: SO many kids in pool area...but that probably can't be avoided. No biggie.
Location: Lots of nightlife and restaurants close by. We parked and walked to everything.
Everything was spectacular. The pool facilities were fine. Room excellent, beautiful view, friendly staff. Would definitely go back.
