"Had a Great time"
We just returned home and it was my sons first trip out of the country, it was a long drive there but well worth it. It was nice to not have to figure out how much to tip all the time. They have a tone of activities for children and families, I don't think it is much of an (adult) resort, they are more family oriented which was great for us. Whoopie, Dice and the rest of the entertainment staff do a great job. My son is 14 and met a ton of new friends from all over, the staff was wonderful, Dwight and Arron at the swim up bar are the best bartenders, friendly with everyone and great with the children. The beach is a little smaller than pictured but it is very clean, we had our own snorkeling gear so did a lot of water sightseeing. If you go off the resort or to the edges you are confronted by alot of pushy people trying to sell things, but that is their livelihood, and you get it most everywhere you go touristy. Food was good, not alot of choices, but they were good. Rooms were clean. Would recommend the Dune buggy, Dunns River Falls and Bob Marley tours, worth every penny. Overall had a great time and would go back tomorrow.

"The staff a made my stay well worth it."
You get what you paid for. The hotel needs a face lift. The room and bathroom are in terrible shape. It be would be nice to know that toiletries are not available ahead of time so guests can take theirs along.

"Worth the money. ..."
My stay here was very comfortable. It's definitely worth the money. Staff was nice. Everything was at convenience. The minimart on campus was a great idea just incase u ran out of groceries. Great location for great nightlife. Only downfall was the wifi.only available at main office. Overall it was a great idea to stay here . Housekeeping was very pleasant as well.

"We'll go back!"
This place is an oasis if you are traveling with little ones (my boys are 23 months and almost 4). The airport experience was a bit of a nightmare (filling out four excessively long and complicated customs forms is ridiculous-- bring a black or blue pen and be prepared to fill out EVERYTHING!!) and we waited in line for almost 2 hours-- did I mention that I have a toddler and a preschooler? Once we finally got on the private shuttle, things improved immensely. Lorenzo, our driver, was great with our two boys and the air-conditioned, quiet ride (my husband and I grabbed beers-to-go at the outside airport bar) was awesome after the travel chaos. As others have also mentioned, the arrival experience was wonderful. Fruit juice or rum punch and a kind receptionist were waiting. The rooms were clean and the layout with two upstairs bedrooms and a small family area/kitchen downstairs was perfect for us. The decor was dated and some of our doors didn't shut, but, you know what? We didn't really care. We wedged our flip flops under our sons' door when they slept (and they slept!! exhausted after all day fun play in the pool and at the playground). Our nanny, Evelyn, was fantastic. Calm, professional and serene, she arrived every day at 9 by meeting us at breakfast and then helped us get our boys into bathing suits and sunscreen. We had just the right amount of time to ourselves and plenty of playtime with the boys. It was a great experience.

"FABULOUS RESORT!.MUST STAY! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!"
My best friend and I decided to get away to the Caribbean and we choose Jamaica.. Since this was our first trip, I did a lot of research and decided to stay in Ochos Rios.. I've been going to the Caribbean for over 20 years never to Jamaica and decided to do an all inclusive After searching 20 resorts we decided to book Jewels Dunns River Resort for several reasons which became a reality.. First of all let me tell you the hour plus ride from the airport was a lot of fun. Those complaining should have stayed in montego bay.. We got to see the island no worries mon. We received free transfers from Jewels which was a plus... Once at the resort we were met by concierge SOFIA-thank you checked into our room (go with the diamond room - great views of the ocean more like ocean front, mini bar free, room service for addition charge). Maid service was fabulous. Sofia immediately made reservations for us, it was my birthday week so we signed up for snorkling, horse back riding. Dunns river falls and set up private cabana on the beach with cooler filled with goodies and more cocktails and breakfast lunch.. Judy was our personal friend the whole day and was fabulous taking care of us. Beach is small but who cares it's a beach and beautiful. Clean everyday.. water unreal blue blue. Sailing w Dayton (WE LOVE YOU) Morris our bartendar awesome strawberry daqs. Jazzy great waiter.. Garfield coffee bar best coffee!! FOOD great! Mgmt GIVE THEM ALL RAISES. BEST STAFF EVER! THANK YOU OXO

"Perfect for relaxing!"
The JPC was an excellent vacation experience and value. The resort offers plenty of activities and excursions but also plenty of places to relax. The snorkeling was excellent and highly recommended-and you can go every day if you reserve a space. We also enjoyed Konoko falls-there were several elderly couples on our trip that had no problem climbing the falls, but there is also a wooden stair case to the top so don't let the fear of the climb deter you from booking the trip. The tour of the gardens at the top of the waterfall is informative and the the area is beautiful. There was no resort guide in the room so I recommend printing out restaurant and resort information to bring with you unless you bring a device to use with the free wifi. There is also a daily resort briefing at 11am in the lobby. The food is good and there is enough variety to please everyone. I especially enjoyed trying the Jamaican dishes! As mentioned in the other reviews, it's the Jamaican resort staff that takes the experience to the next level. Though it isn't required-I suggest bringing extra money for tipping. The only negative thing that I would say about the resort is that the roped off swimming area is small-but the beach was never crowded and I never had a problem getting chairs under the umbrella. It was awesome to have drinks delivered to you while on the beach!
