The host was not attentive and managed the heater in the apartment from a phone app. We froze every night after texting him to warm it up. When you rent abroad pictures are also very deceiving . When we arrived the building is very cold off the beaten track from Rome and moldy. The bathroom was not easy to maneuver as the bathtub was very small narrow and you can easily slip. Also the VBRO description says a washer and dryer but the dryer we were told is outside … hang them out. Well that didn’t work. Being in Italy for a month you need to wash so we found a laundry mat and paid extra.

This property is quite nice, very large and updated and our hosts were great. I left my tablet when we checked out and the hosts worked very hard to try to get it back to me.We chose this location because it's within walking distance to a lot of the attractions. There are some good restaurants close by. We did however find the apartment not as advertised is some respects. The profile states there is a washer and dryer but there is only a washer and the dryer is a clothesline out a window. The tub/shower is very small, the automatic coffee maker did not work.Overall the property is good, just keep in mind you may want to ask specific questions prior to booking.

Large apartment — quiet and comfortable retreat

After roaming Rome, we looked forward to returning to this apartment. The rooms are spacious and well arranged for lounging, reading, snacking and sleeping. Excellent air conditioning units cool down and keep the large rooms cool (we were there in July). Nearby are good restaurants and the Termini train station and metro stations are within easy walks.

A Lovely Stay in a community of Rome

We had a great experience in this apartment. The apartment had all the amenities that one would require as well as a little washing machine for laundry. The bedroom was very spacious with many areas to keep one's belongings in an orderly way. The bed was very comfortable! The apartment was very quiet and very secure as it is locked from the street. We found the apartment to be well situated in that it was close to grocery stores, close to the metro line, tram line as well as the main train and bus termini. We very much enjoyed one of the oldest and most delicious gelato places in the city just around the corner too! The owners of this property were especially easy to communicate with. They were very prompt with any replies to messages and were very welcoming and helpful. In fact, they arranged our transportation from the airport to the property and met us there to go over the apartment and the particulars about the workings of everything in the apartment. They also arranged our transportation back to the airport at the end of our stay and helped us at check out. They were very much appreciated! We would highly recommend this property for a really enjoyable stay.

This flat's location is wonderful! Lovely park (Piazza Vittorio Emmanuele) with a Metro station a block away, numerous restaurants, coffee bars, bakeries and grocery stores within a few blocks, and easy walking distance to the Colosseum, Forum and most sights. We had a great stay at this apartment. Convenient for the train station and getting to all the sights of Rome. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby and easy for buses and metro. Great location

Great location with a short walk to the Metro which can take you to all the touristy areas. The neighborhood has great local places. Its a mixed neighborhood so you can find Italian dining or drop in places as well as some amazing Oriental cuisine and Mediterranean. The apartment had everything and and whatever you need is a short enjoyable walk to a store or one of many mini stores. I’m American so the shower was on the small side but other than that the renter communicated with us through the whole process and arranged a service to pick us up on the last day and drive us to the airport. When I had a question about Netflix I got a response in 30 seconds. Via Merulana is a short walk out the front door and to the right. This will get you to the big church for Our lady of Guadalupe or Mary whichever way you refer to her. Along the way to that you will find small local shops to buy amazing local products from real handmade leather goods to clothes and anything you may desire. The restaurants are a travelers Dwight as you pick as you walk. Also there is a theater on the street that was presenting a musical which we would have gone to had we known.
