Margaritaville Vacation Club - St. Thomas
"Was okay. First time here and to the islands. It seems nicer in the photos. We went during a time where there was sargassum (seaweed) on the main beach by the lobby, they did offer shuttles to nearby beaches but we had a car to use instead. Not a ton of things to do, some activities but limited really to two pools for fun and some occasional drink hours or small snacks like smore or ice cream. They will sell you very hard upon arrival for a timeshare, not for us. It made the experience not so great. The place is filled with steep hills and tons of stairs, they do offer golf carts to bring you around but you have to wait. No room service, and they don’t service your rooms during the stay either. Free laundry which was great, they worked well. Free towels for the pool is helpful. It’s pricey, the food is expensive, the sunscreen was 48 dollars… a bit of a racket honestly. The room was “okay” We did lose power during our stay. There was no comp or anything for that. It’s near a couple beaches. Took about a half hour from the airport to arrive, pretty easy to find. WiFi is okay, you are limited to number of devices and we had no cell service at all making it a challenge for sure. Wasn’t terrible but was great either, overall would probably not go back again."
