Older motel and it was in the process of updating the rooms. But room floor was nasty dirty. My feet turned black from it. The free WiFi signal was very very poor and constantly dropped out. The sink in the room didn't have cold water. The room lacked a hair dryer or coffee maker. No iron or ironing board. The shower floor was very very slippery. We had to buy a shower mat just to shower there without killing ourselves. I was happy that they had smoking allowed rooms and that they accepted pets. We were forced from our home due to hurricane Florence and had to bring our cat. It was a great comfort to have her with us. All in all the staff were excellent! Very friendly and helpful. When we needed to extend our stay a few days longer they gave us a reduced rate!

No pool and very basic facilities. Seems to be a place for local workers. Police came in the night to hand cuff someone. Dont know the reason, he was later released. We paid a higher price because of Duke graduation. Twice the price. I think that is a bit much for a poor facility.
