Paid extra for a lake view balcony room and the views were good. I paid at the property but was charged in GBP which ended up with a charge of £40 higher than the NZ$ rate. The room was uncomfortably hot at night with no air conditioning, just a floor standing fan. Comfortable bed and pillows. Bit dated. Staff helpful.

I dont know what standards people have when they leave a 4 star or 5 star reviews. i stayed at this property and this property is bad. It looks nothing like in the pictures. There is a review with view of a lake...there is no view of a lake as shown in the photos. Parking was pain, as you have to park in the street. The rooms were small and overall the hotel was not good

There was no air circulation and ventilation for the room. It was stuffy and hot all day and night. They offered a small table fan that helps with cooling just a little bit but without air circulation it was suffocating in the room. The staff suggested to keep the window open but just keeping one window open without cross ventilation doesn’t circulate air into the room. I was not looking for air conditioning, just ventilated room with air circulation should not be too much to ask for a hyper expensive room.

Outstanding stay at this property. Close to the town center just 10m walk. We had booked 6 nights stay and during check in upgraded our room to lake view with 60$/night which was worth as it gave us stunning view of lake and mountains and we had 2nd floor room which was connected to the lawn garden.. staff is friendly and helpful. Overall excellent stay

Room was not spotless had not been hoovered before my arrival and not dusted or hoovered during my stay. Changed towels made bed and replenished refreshments only. Sadly as a solo traveller at breakfast I found my table was cleared whilst I was waiting for hot food to be replenished by the waiting staff, despite leaving a water bottle on the table.

Where to start. At first, this hotel seemed perfect! Great location, a massive room, friendly staff, and an amazing view. We had 4 nights booked. After the second night, I woke up itchy. I just assumed it was the sandflies that everyone spoke of. The third night my father complained they were itchy as well. I also was significantly more itchy. I tore back the sheets and the picture showes what I found. There was a cleaner in the hallway so I told them. They immediately called thier supervisor and the supervisor confirmed that it looked like bed bugs. She stated she would speak to the front desk and spmeone would call the room. I recieved a phone call that they had another room available and we could move. We packed up our luggage and I went to check the next room. They moved us from 1455 to 1437. Sure enough, that room had signs of bed bugs too. Less eggs, but more sheds. Still gross. The mattress looked terrible. I went and told front desk that I wanted a refund and wanted to check out. I was informed that they were not able to issue a refund due to it being a weekend. I believe I was speaking with the duty manager. They stated that because I booked on Expedia, they had not recieved payment from Expedia, so they could not do anything. This seemed like such a passive uncaring answer. I asked if calling Expedia was my next step. They said I could try. Thank goodness for Expedia. They offered me a credit and convinced the hotel to let me check out a day early. The hotel would o

My room had a stunning view. Hotel is in a great location, I didn’t need a car, I walked everywhere. It’s a big hotel so staff isn’t too friendly or eager to help. It was clean - enough. At least in the important areas - bed and bathroom. Corners of my windows had cob webs and at some point a former guest had finger drew some pictures in the dust on the glass - which looks out at the view so hard to miss. Also, it’s hard to describe the weirdness of the hallways to the rooms - you go from a nice lobby to…damaged hallway walls and a 1970’s feel. They are also very long. It was good for what it is.

The Hotel was not up to the standard i thought it was. Check in was ok but it took too long and i felt the receptionist Maiko didnt really know what she was doing. The room was definitely worth the price but the view was stunning. I didnt like the shower over the bath it was difficult for my elderley husband to manage. Overall i didnt find the staff very friendly and when i went to chack out the receptionist english lady no name badge)and another chap behind the desk ignored for about 5 minutes which i thought was really rude. So overall poor customer service and a below average hotel that needs ugrading!
