First floor room was unsafe. The window could not be locked, and the adjoining door was not locked.
We were given a first room floor because the elevator was broken and they said we should’ve received a text which we had not.
The room was also without toilet paper which the front desk had difficulty finding. When she brought us the roller toilet paper as we were noticing that the room was not able to be secured we advised her that we would be checking out. I told her I could not sleep in a room could be securely locked and especially on the first floor.
The front desk was nice enough to assist us and made notes on our Reservation as to why we were checking out and gave me the name of the manager (Kevin) to call the next day regarding a refund. Despite calling multiple times and leaving messages I’m with staff; he was not available and did not return my phone call for the next two days
Travelocity declined my refund via email stating the I had not gotten approval from manager (as predicted by the competitor we stayed with - who along with many others guessed the name of the hotel we had checked-out from without us even telling them because of the known condition of the hotel).
Money or not - my safety and that of my daughter come first!
