2/10 Terrible

Checking into this place was a nightmare. They have permanently chained off the main front entrance where the valet parking and bellmen should be, because it’s a good location for wedding groups to take pictures. There is no sign to say “go this other way to check in” even though they know that Google continues to direct people to the front entrance, where you would expect to go. So we wandered around to the back, trying to call the front desk for help. We finally were directed to a small parking lot filled with workers’ truck, had to park quite far from the door, found the front desk and there was a line to check in.You guessed it, one person working. There were no bellmen, so even though my husband suffers from copd, we had to get a luggage cart, for which they had the nerve to require our drivers license until we returned it! Even the most economy priced hotels we have stayed at never did that. As I left, the desk clerk handed me a sheet of paper saying the water would be shut off in the morning from 3:00 to 6:00 am! When we got to the room, the heat was on and the thermostat was malfunctioning. We had to call the desk to have maintenance come fix it. (The room itself was very nice and dinner at the Beerhouse was good. Unfortunately our check in was so difficult, compounded by a lack of caring from the desk staff, that the entire stay was overshadowed by the incredible lack of welcome.) If you need valet parking or assistance with luggage, do not book this hotel.
