Location was excellent! Staff was top-notch! Restaurant and food was fantastic but a bit overpriced as is everything. Our room was extremely drafty around the AC and heater unit so it made it very cold in the room no matter how much we turned the temperature up and there’s such a gap underneath the door and the side of the door that it really allows for outside noise in and inside noise out. The shower is a bit small for our liking and there was no hairdryer. Overall four out of five stars just need to tidy up on the small things.

The place is pretty cool, everyone was nice, food at the restaurant was really good. The bed although comfortable had a water proof wrap so it felt like sleeping on a trash bag. The sheet wasn't fitted so it kept coming undone. Not the most relaxing sleep.

This has to be one of the best hotels that I've ever stayed at, with the best staff. This hotel is very pet friendly, and even left cat treats in the room, as I let them know that I would be traveling with my cat, during my cross-country move. The staff, even the night crew, was extremely friendly and attentive. I've stayed at much more expensive, and highly regarded hotels, but I've never had a better experience on any trip in my life. If I travel through St. Louis again, I would not consider staying anywhere else.

unique place to stay

We like to stay here because it is close to Wash U and we are visiting our granddaughter who is enrolled there. We love the kitchy theme and the rooms decorated to remember famous actors and actresses from our youth. prices are very reasonable so we can get a suite. This allows me to work on my computer in the wee hours of the morning without disturbing my husband who is a better sleeper. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. If you valet your car it's right out in the front -- easy to get to.
