DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Berkeley Marina
"Third time staying here! No Need for my opinion. Here are the facts: Positive: 1- Convenient to Downtown, Major Highways 2- Staff very helpful, need to acknowledge guests that are waiting 3- Rooms are clean and well stocked (daily) 4- Property clean near guest room buildings 5- Good on-site restaurant 6- Valet staff - efficient and friendly 7- Pool and Gym equipment well-maintained 8- Check out easy with Hilton App Negatives: 1- Parking Cost$ Too High ($40.00 to self park) 2- Parking Lot is gated, but nothing stops any kind of Riff Raff entering the parking lots from 3 sides. Parking spaces across the street are full of people living in cars and and mini RVs that anyone can see, haven't been moved in a LONG time. Various non-guests seen day and night traversing back and side parking lots, Doesn't feel safe, at all! 3- Property surrounding back parking lots needs a lot of attention, repair to surfaces and daily trash pickup 4- Snack shop overpriced ($7.00 + for a coffee) most hotels offer complimentary coffee, many 24/7. 5- Long walk to any kind of shopping/dining, recommend driving 6- Best to locate your room, then locate closest Exit, then determine parking spot closest to exit door"
