Terrible experience with regards to overbooking. Staff attempts to maintain an air of "transparency" and open communication but fails to notify guests about overbooking till the morning of their arrival date? Completely unprofessional and a clear disregard for any bookings made even weeks prior! Relocates guests to a "similar" hotel but considerably worse in actuality and continued to incorrectly identify how many nights of overbooking there actually was. Cannot recommend this location at all.

RĂ©sidence HĂšrmes is truly a good choice for on-a-budget travel to Paris. Here are some positive and negative notes: Positive - The RER station was incredibly close, around 6-7 minutes walking. With the navigo decouverte weekly card, it was super easy to use all the transportation to get to wherever we wanted, and it was never more than 1 hour-1 hour 15 mins to get anywhere (including Disneyland). Just note that the station nearby (Les Saules) stops service early in the night. - The place was very clean. The bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were all in a perfect state, no bad smells nor stains. - The area around was very quiet and calm. It did get pretty dark at night, like there is few lights on the streets, but you still feel safe. Negative - We did not receive the instructions prior to our arrival, so we had to contact the manager once we got there since we rang the bell and had no answer. Nonetheless, he was really helpful and quick to answer too, so that is something good about the property. - There is a weird noise done by the pipes when water is turned on. So one night one of the other guests showered at like 4 am, and it woke me up and kept me up for like 40mins
 I guess if you are not a light sleeper it won’t bother you, and also there are minimum chances someone would shower so early while you are there; I just had bad luck. It’s understandable for this not to be resolved easily because piping in houses is complex. - We wish they would give daily pods for coffee.

I'm currently staying in room number three. I would like to inform you of my dissatisfaction with the way my reservations were organized. Today, for the second time, someone tried to open the door to the room I'm staying in. The second time was successful. Two people opened my door while I was sleeping. I already felt unsafe in this place. Now I feel even more unsafe knowing that other people have access to my room. I'm a woman traveling to another country and last night I didn't sleep well because there were a lot of men here drinking alcohol. Now two people opened the door to my room and asked me why I'm in the room!!! I would love to feel safe in this place that I'm paying for, but I really don't! Now I wonder how I'm going to leave the room tomorrow knowing that someone could enter my room at any moment??? I usually don't have a problem with anyone. In fact, earlier today, when they were trying to open the door, I tried to help the person find their room. But I can't keep quiet about this situation anymore! What if someone else opens the door to my room? If I'm not here and my belongings are missing, who will be responsible? What should I do if someone else now has the access code to my room? What if someone else opens my room during the night?

J'attends encore le code d'accÚs ... heureusement que j'avais réservé un autre hÎtel par sécurité. Cela fait double frais, mais ne suis pas mécontent d'avoir séjourné ailleurs. De plus, partager la salle de bain n'est pas trop top question hygiÚne et intimité. Il ne s'agit pas d'un hÎtel, mais d'une maison commune. Chacun ses goûts !

Pas de service d'accueil ou de réception sur place

Il n'y a pas du tout de service d'accueil dans cette residence. Apres un long et eprouvant voyage , nous nous sommes retrouvĂ©s dehors pendant trois quart d'heure Ă  essayer de joindre le service d'accueil en vain. Nous avons dans un Ă©lan de dĂ©sespoir sollicitĂ© les voisins qui nous ont expliquĂ© qu'il n'y a jamais quelqu'un sur place dt qu'ils envoient le code pour accĂ©der aux chambres quelques jours Ă  lavance. Ils nous ont aussi expliquĂ© qu'ils etaient coutumiers des faits, on n'Ă©tait pas des cas isolĂ©s. Bref nous avons rappelĂ©s avec un autre numĂ©ro que nous a donnĂ© le voisin. Pareil.... C'Ă©tait une grosse dĂ©ception. Finalement nous l'avons eu par un autre numĂ©ro (5Ăšme ou 4Ă©me), et franchement il s'est Ă  peine excusĂ©, il a juste dit qu'il a vu les nombreux appels mais qu'il etait occupĂ© avec un autre client au tĂ©lĂ©phone. C'est dommage, car l'endroit est propre et bien pour le prix mais zĂ©ro accueil. Avant de quutter veillez Ă  les avoir au tĂ©lĂ©phone (mĂȘme si nous l'avons fait sans succĂšs aussi). Bon courage !
