We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Paris and had a disappointing experience. We arrived early and waited until the 3 PM check-in, but didn’t get a room until 4:30 PM — with no apology or explanation. We booked and paid for a “Tower View” room through Expedia (at a higher rate), but were given a standard “View” room with no Eiffel Tower in sight. When I asked the staff, they confirmed the tower isn’t even visible from the hotel, which makes the upgrade misleading. We also booked for 3 people but got a small room clearly meant for 2, with only 2 towels and glasses. On our last night, I used a washcloth provided by the hotel and ended up with painful cuts on my back. I had to see a doctor after returning home. While staff were pleasant, no one addressed or acknowledged any of the issues. Paris was wonderful, but this hotel stay took away from the experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and I won’t be booking this hotel again.

Easy access to public transportation, it's a great location for easy access to the trains and buses to all the various landmarks and sights around the city. A short walk to the waterfront. My family and I took the Eurostar into Gare du Nord and Uber to the hotel, had we known we would have taken the metro system that. It was only a few stops away and we took it when getting back to the Eurostar leaving the city after. The staff is pleasant there and going in and out there was always security in the lobby.

Staff were extremely lovely - location and walkability are definitely the reason for the expensive price. Worth it for ease of travel around the city and to the airports. The hotel is very busy, and their staff do an excellent job of keeping everyone happy. We did have two outlets that didn't work in our room, and the water dispenser on our floor was broken, and the TV cut out every time we tried to connect one of our devices through the 'smart tv' applications. We attempted to call the front desk a few times but we are sure they were busy. It was late enough so we just went to sleep. Again, staff lovely, location fabulous, just some small things that would have made it a perfect stay.

Broadly good - increasingly these days if you booked through a third party like Expedia you are treated not quite so well. No one asked for my Silver Marriott Convoy card but I got it added later. Room was fine. Service in bar later and at breakfast just about OK. Slow egg service at breakfast compensated by delivery to table although I had finished everything else by then. Restaurant furniture has had its day with ripped coverings.
