Not what it used to be.

Not as good as other years. (I have been going there for 20 years Price went up, but services went down. Very dirty under the bed. 2 towels a week per person Plumbing is choked up. In the kitchen and bath room. Being on the first floor is quite noisy.. Marais neighborhood is still lovely, and there is a great street market on Th and Su. I have always been happy at Citadines, but…i I’ll think about going there for next year….

Overall, it was a decent place to stay and we felt it was as advertised...mostly. We got lucky and stayed on the top floor which gave us a view of the top 1/3 of the eiffel tower. There was no deck, but it did look like the deck from the pics was available on about 10% of the rooms. Location was great with plenty of cafes, shops and metro lines nearby. Room needed maintenance, but was fairly clean and we did enjoy having the small kitchen.

Deceiving hotel photos

I booked a Deluuxe Studio for 5 nights. I chose this type of room for the "furbished balcony" because I wanted to enjoy a coffee/ reading in the balcony like local Parisians. Instead of a balcony, what I got is a Z-shaped, narrow outdoor space (with rusty rails and dirty floors, for that matter). I was expecting a rectangular balcony where two chairs and a table are placed outside, as shown in hotel photos. There aren’t even two chairs and a table outside - just one chair and a coffee table which are placed in different sections, because the space in each section is too small to fit both. The management sought to defend itself by saying the layout of "balcony" can vary depending on the room location within the building - this is lame. I would not have booked a deluxe studio (or even this hotel) if I knew the so-called balcony is not usable. Location of hotel is good - convenient and close to two Metro stations. Facilities in the room: as many have commented, the rooms are dated. It is the first time I see exposed pipes in a hotel bathroom.

1 of 2 elevators broken for 6 of 8 days. AC broken in 2 rooms, no maintenance visit after reporting, 1/2 roll bath tissue for a week stay-no supply. Very noisy neighborhood at night. Coffee in reception most always out of milk, not stocked regularly with tea. No welcome info of neighborhood, transit, building amenities & technology. Staff not experienced in restaurant museums or taxi reservations and passes. Great location! Easy to metro and food. Nice kitchen & balcony, comfy bed but plastic undersheet makes you sweat. $170/night with tax. Ok value, but I'd probably try to find something else for sure when weather is warm.

We stayed here for one week and enjoyed it immensely. The location is great, near several metro stops, restaurants and fresh food markets. We loved having a kitchen and small living room. The facilities are very clean and the staff is very friendly, especially the front desk clerk, Essia, who informed us about local flea markets in the area, answered our questions about how to get around and was genuinely kind.

Very good location, Well equipped kitchen, close to public transportation (metro & bus), close to a very good Sunday market, close to the Marais. Close to some good restaurants (Bofinger, Santa carnet), good size room ( we stayed in superior studio), close to grocery store Franprix that make it easy to buy products to the room. overall good experience. contras: not enough housekeeping (once in 9 days stay), didn't have Luggage racks (for 9 days stay we needed 2 racks) The room design is basic, slow elevators (its better to stay at lower floor enabling going down by stairs). I'll consider to come again. (couple age 74)

The location was convenient, and the staff was friendly during check-in. The bed was comfortable enough, and the amenities were decent. However, I did encounter a few problems during my stay. The cleaning was subpar, as the room felt dusty, and the bathroom didn't seem freshly cleaned. Additionally, top stove and microwave were not working, making it difficult to prepare meals. While the hotel had some good aspects, the lack of cleanliness and the malfunctioning stove made it less enjoyable. If management improves these details, it could be a much better option for future guests.
