Danielle, our host, was most communicative and helpful before and during our month’s stay, though not intrusive at all. When we arrived, she showed us around the locality, so that we knew where everything was. The apartment was very clean, with all we needed and we found it always warm and cosy - especially necessary, as we were there in very wintry weather! The location of the property is ideal, with local amenities: supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, boulangeries, butcher, pharmacies, organic shops, a great food market three times a week, practically next door! The proximity to the centre of Paris was one of the great advantages of the apartment, with Nogent-sur-Marne RER station only five minutes’ walk away. We managed to travel in most days and visited many sights, some we’d never heard of! We enjoyed visits to Vincennes, a local town with a château and only two stops up the line (although walkable in 30 minutes). The Bois de Vincennes was enchanting and there is a little lakeside café (which offers a warming hot chocolate and crêpes, amongst other things) on a cool day! A superb holiday for us!

I can not say enough great things about our stay here. The owner was amazingly nice and met us there to show us the apartment and how everything works. She had a map of the area to show us the locations of the grocery stores, bakeries, and RER. Staying here made us feel like locals as it is a very family friendly neighborhood away from all the hustle of bustle of the touristy areas. Every morning and afternoon there were kids walking to and from school. It has really easy access to grocery stores and bakeries for food everyday. The RER is just a quick 5 minute walk away. While small, there was more than enough room for our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teens, and a pre-teen). Loved that there was a washer/dryer for us to do laundry. Loved opening the windows in the evenings and letting the cool air in while listening to the sounds of the neighborhood after a long day of sightseeing. I could not recommend this place enough!

Olympics Home Base

We booked this property as early as we could once we found out we'd be attending Olympics events. Danielle was great at communication while we booked - and I was relieved to find something in a quiet area away from the Olympics craziness, but still close enough to take the RER A to all of our venues easily. My kids (7, 10, 12) were thrilled to each have their own place to sleep (2 twins and a pull out couch). My oldest, especially, was happy that there was a door to the room with the pullout couch so at night, it became a separate bedroom. During the day, we used the room for dining/TV. The kids also loved the courtyard, neighborhood cats, and hearing a neighbor play the piano. My husband and I appreciated the location of the property most of all. He walked to the main town of Nogent sur Marne several times to pick up food (Thai food, burgers), and we developed a (bad) habit of visiting the bakery every day (at least once) because their morning choquettes were just too good to pass up. The staff got to know the kids and would sometimes slip in an extra :) The proximity to Picard, Carrefour, and Franprix is excellent, as well as the Geek Store for board games (you can pay to play there as well). Walk to market, playground, giant park... so easy! All in all, Danielle's house is the coziest home base for travels in and around Paris. She is a great communicator, showed us around the neighborhood when we checked in, and let us be to enjoy our vacation! Book it!

Comfortable home base for Paris visit

We stayed for the month of May. The apartment is quite a lot larger than it looks in the photos. It had everything we needed for a comfortable, long-term stay. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. It was a great experience to live like locals on the days we weren’t sightseeing. The local shops (boulangeries, florist) had wonderful products and helpful staff (with limited English). Huge fresh market three days a week. Some wonderful restaurants too. The property owner scheduled a time to clean the unit half-way through our visit, which was great! If I were to do this again I’d probably stay in Vincennes because the town is a little nicer and more active, but it’s probably more expensive too.

Family trip

Our family of five from Australia (which included three siblings aged 20,18 and 16) enjoyed a wonderful stay in Danielle’s apartment. Danielle is a wonderful host who is so accommodating. I got my dates mixed up which meant we had to change our original time to meet and Danielle was so kind and was able to meet us at a new time. The apartment was meticulously clean and had everything you could ever need to look after a family for meals if you want to cook at home. There are shops within walking distance to grab all your necessary supplies and the train station is also just a few minutes walk. There are lovely restaurants and bakeries as well as a pharmacy all within close proximity. The gated complex makes for a very safe stay. The RER train line gets you straight into the city and is very easy to use. We purchased the Navigo pass which starts each Monday and runs through to Sunday for $30 euro which is the most cost effective way to purchase train passes especially if you arrive in Paris at the beginning of the week. We absolutely loved our stay in Danielle’s apartment and I would highly recommend to stay here. Thank you Danielle for being a wonderful host.

Super appartment, very well equipped, plenty of room for the three of us. Excellent location in a really nice area near the river and bois de vincennes, so great local walks and an easy journey into central Paris . An excellent base for a trip to Paris

Our first time using VRBO but a very positive one! Danielle's apartment is super clean, comfortable and fully equipped with everything we needed. It's in a great location very close to the RER station, which makes it very convenient for trips into the centre of Paris. Nogent-sur-Marne is also a very nice neighbourhood - Danielle and her husband were kind enough to take us for a short walk around the immediate vicinity of the apartment, pointing out the bakery, supermarket and other local amenities all within a short distance. Thank you Danielle for a lovely stay in your apartment, we hope to come back one day!

One amazing week in Paris

We spent one week in late November exploring Paris, and decided to rent an apartment instead of staying in a hotel, and it was a great decision. The apartment is conveniently located 15-20 minutes by train (RER A) from Paris in gated community in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. The apartment has full kitchen with stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, etc., living room with TV and dining table, shower (working great) and two bedrooms. One bedroom has two twin sized beds with semi-soft mattresses and the other bedroom has one queen size bed with hard mattress (which I enjoyed). Everything in the apartment was working well. We were using WhatsApp to communicate with the owner, and Danielle was always prompt in responding to all of my questions. We were greeted by Danielle and her husband on our arrival and they showed us how to use the appliances in the apartment, showed us maps and explained how to get to different parts of Paris and Versailles, took us for a walk of the neighborhood to show us how to get to the train station, grocery store (with good selection of vines), fresh market ( open Wednesday, Friday and Sunday ), and an amazing Artisan bakery (wish I could take it home with me! ). Everything is located in 3-5 minutes walking distance. They also let us to check in earlier, because the apartment was already clean and ready for us, which we really appreciate. Overall we had a great experience. Thank you Danielle for sharing your apartment with us.

Well equipped apartment, easy access to Paris by train

Check in was simple, meeting with the owners who gave us some tips and advice for getting transport and some places to visit. They were very pleasant and helpful. Wifi was excellent and very fast. Kitchen is well stocked and modern. The accommodation felt very safe, being in a gated property and we were happy to leave our car in the private car park, whilst using the train and metro to get around Paris. The RER station is 5 mins away by foot from the property. We bought a Navigo pass for less than 30 euros each which got us around on all trains and metro for a week, including to Disneyland. There are bars and restaurants in the local area, including a lovely gallette / creperie at the end of the road which we visited once. Local Carrefour express has the essentials you need, and there are many other small shops to get your essentials in.

A delightful home base.

A few blocks outside Paris proper, this quiet, well-organized, charming apartment provided the perfect home base for our recent five-day visit (at the end of June). It’s a short walk from the RER A (train) and several buses, the Bois de Vincennes, and the excellent, thrice-weekly Marché de Nogent centre-ville (AKA Nogent Market), where you can get everything from excellent charcuterie, fresh meat and fish, and fine produce, to knickknacks and clothes. You can also take a stroll down next to the Marne River along the beautiful Promenade Yvette Horner. Convenient to the post office, a few cafes (brasseries), several small supermarkets and pharmacies, and a decent Boulangerie, Pâtisserie Laure Et Yann. The building is set back from the street and your neighbors may include families with children. There’s a pleasant set of benches tucked inside a bend in the hedge. Danielle is an excellent host. If you need a well-set-up apartment and don’t have to be in the absolute center of the action, I can’t recommend this apartment enough.

Very good location

The apartment is in a gated enclosure with parking space if needed. It has a well equipped kitchen, is cool in the heat and is very convenient for travelling into Paris (Navigo Decouverte very useful if you're staying for more than a few days). There are good local shops. Be careful if you are looking at the English version of the website as it does not have all the charging information that is on the French version which is a bit confusing but outside the owner's control)

Beautiful, Clean, Convenient & Peaceful

Loved our week in this comfortable, meticulously clean and well-appointed 2-bedroom apartment. While we were visiting family in Nogent sur Marne, the flat's location very near the RER and major bus routes made getting into Paris and out to the airport very convenient. Proximity to an enormous park with many walking paths and to restaurants and shops made our stay even more special. Thank you!

Nice Apartment close to Paris

We had a very nice stay at this 2 bedroom apartment in Nogent-sur-Marne. It close to a nice park and walking distance to a the RER train station which you can take into Paris city. There are also shops and restaurants close by. The owners are very nice and accommodating.

5 nights in Paris

Enjoyed our stay at the apartment. The pictures of the place are pretty accurate. I believe it is in zone 3 of the metro. It's a 5 minute walk to the metro. The metro/ RER ticket to that zone is slightly more. The area is residential and very quiet. Just what we wanted. There are markets in the area, as well as, restaurants. The hosts had the apartment ready on time and were there to greet us. They gave us information about the apartment, area, and Paris. When we left we took the RER to CDG and it took about an hour and twenty minutes. Overall, a very good stay. I would consider staying there again.

A Wonderful Stay

This is a very nice apartment in a charming neighborhood. It is extremely close to transportation, a produce market, grocery stores, and running trails. The apartment itself is fully stocked with all of the tools you need to make your own meals and be comfortable. The owners are extremely nice and even showed us around the neighborhood. I would highly recommend this apartment for a great Paris stay!

Relaxing and easily accessible to Paris each day

Our family of four had a lovely stay at Nogent Sur Marne during our 5 week travels around Europe. The apartment was very conveniently located, just 5 minutes from the train station, supermarket, butcher, green grocers, bakery, restaurants & we were very taken with the fresh food market open 3 days per week. We felt very safe in a residential area with a pleasant walk to the river & town centre. The apartment was clean & spacious and had great appliances for self catering, especially the washing machine/dryer in one. Our host was very communicative & helpful leading up to our stay. We very much appreciated being able to drop off our bags after arriving in Paris on the Euro overnight train so we could go & grab breakfast & explore the town before checking in during the afternoon. The best part of staying just a few station stops away from Paris, was to come away from the hussel & bussel after exploring the city each day to relax in a quieter neighbourhood. If you are new to the area & don't speak french, then definitely get a map so you can locate the river & shops with ease. We would highly recommend staying here - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
