Cute and clean beach house

Enjoyed our stay at this cute and nicely decorated beach house. A very quick walk, less than expected, to the beach was nice. Would stay here again in the future!

Weekend Retreat

Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate, but a weekend away was nice. We curled up on the very spacious sectional sofas and watched movies while it poured rain outside.

Magnoficent

Location is great! Just a short walk to a beautiful beach! LOTS of beach stuff ( chairs, boogie boards) in the shed. Clean. Great space with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Screened porch is great! No complaints! We’d stay here again!

Perfect house

This is our 7th year staying in Magnolia by the seas and this has been one of our favorite houses. It is super close to the beach being in the front of the neighborhood with easy access to the public beach. The bunch room is perfect for teenagers and the sectional couch was cozy. This house had everything we needed. My only suggestion would be to have more hangers. We were a little short in that department.

Beach access

The listing just tells you the beach is just a short walk from property and it was but it did not say how many steps we had to use to go to the beach. We were traveling with a baby and an older person so it made it very difficult to go to and from the beach. We wouldn’t stay in this location again because of the difficulty it was getting to the beach

Great hotel and location. Unfortunately, the fire alarms had batteries go out - on two separate alarms, in the middle of the night. They weren't very quick or willing to help. The solution was for me to take the batteries out and take the fire alarm off the wall and not have either fire alarms on the top floor be active. Needless to say - not good. Additionally, the back door is merely an eye-hook latch to lock. No other locking. Someone can easily slide a credit card in, unlatch, and enter the house. It's not ideal. The property is gorgeous. The kitchen is perfect. The bedrooms are great. But these safety factors should not have to be dealt with and unfortunately the property manager(s) seem to lack empathy when trying to accommodate for these disturbances.

Let’s start with the check in: got our info after 4 pm. Which was fine we went out to grab a bite to eat. House impressions: needs a lot of updating even though a review said it was remodeled earlier this year or something. Overall clean other than pasta stains from previous stay in the kitchen on cabinets. Bathrooms are old and need to be upgraded. They were clean though. Kitchen is kind of a fail if you plan on cooking. There is no vent above the stove, so the slightest cooking steam or anything of the sort the smoke detector gets set off. There are no spices of any sort if you plan on cooking. Grill was not working but they resolved it with a lighter, so we were able to use it the second day. The washer dryer area has no ventilation so the dryer steams up the whole room. Shed outside has everything you need to go to the beach, you won’t need to bring anything other than some beach towels. There’s none at the house. The A/C broke in the house but they resolved the situation quickly. Within a couple hours of us calling. About the beach access: the access is literally just a “private beach access” but you can’t stay on the beach that you have the private access to. You have to got another block or so to the right to be on the public beach, so might as well go to the public beach access from the get go. At least there’s a wash station at the public beach access. Public beach access is still in walking distance. Bikes were nice to ride over to Alys/ Rosemary beach area.

What could have been

We have been coming to 30a for approximately 10 years now. The last 3 years we have loved staying at Magnolia Cottages and have never stayed at "Beach Walk". Let me start by pointing out the positives: 1) the house was very close to the beach and came with chairs and boogey boards/umbrellas...this should be advertised 2) Property came with 3 adults bikes - great until we actually used them. They were in rideable but in awful condition. Rusty and unable to be adjusted due to the rust. 3) Decor was awesome. My wife commented on how nicely decorated the house was. A large TV in living room was also amazing. Honestly, I was very disappointed with this property due to the state of cleanliness. When we arrived, someone (I'm assuming the cleaning crew) had put away all dirty dishes in kitchen drawers. We found hairs and dried spaghetti sauce on dishes. We ended up washing all dishes by hand before we could cook our dinner. The bathrooms were moldy. We killed several cockroaches during our stay. we also noticed a bloody pillow that my son was going to sleep with in bunk room. Overall, this place could be great if these issues could be addressed. Maybe a different management company that would ensure the place was properly cleaned with each turnover.
