Kindness at the Magnolia.

Beautiful, historical grand old hotel. Lovely staff. Comfy beds and pillows. Wish the windows opened! Front desk staff Adriana was so helpful and kind . SO refeshing. Glad the parking was comped.

We had a terrible experience at this hotel, we had booked this hotel specifically because of its shuttle service to and from the airport. Upon arrival, we called the hotel to confirm the shuttle’s pickup, but they informed us that due to a shortage, they couldn’t pick us up. They suggested we take a taxi or Uber instead. It was clear that we weren’t their top priority, as they had other passengers scheduled for pickup at the same time and left us out. The primary reason we had booked with this hotel was to avoid Uber and taxis, as our destination was within walking distance from the hotel. However, the front desk lady at the hotel was incredibly rude and unfriendly from the moment we entered. On our last day, we needed the shuttle back to the airport. The same person who had been so unhelpful earlier was the one assisting us again. She was upset that we had asked for the shuttle and insisted that we had to be on the shuttle schedule, not a last-minute option. She refused to check our reservation until I insisted so many times to check and sure enough we were on the schedule. To make matters worse, the driver received a phone call from the front desk lady while we were on the shuttle back to the airport. The driver was yelled at by the same front desk lady. The poor driver was visibly embarrassed and felt terrible about the situation. This experience has left us deeply disappointed and has made us decide never to book with this hotel again.
