Bancroft House-Spacious, just remodeled & updated! New appliances, arcade games!

The Bancroft House is a spacious home located in the heart of Omaha's Midtown area. This century old home has been very recently remodeled with the comfort of our guests as a top priority. Bancroft House is short drive to the popular Blackstone District, Midtown Crossing, Capitol District, and the Old Market. Also close is the UNMC campus, Creighton University, Charles Schwab Field Home of the CWS, CHI Health Center and Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo. I-80 is just 2 minutes south of the house.

The space:
This home is over 3200 finished square foot and is very spacious, allowing guests to spread out. This comfortable house features a modern kitchen with stainless steel (new)appliances, a bathroom on each level (2 just updated), and a large living room. Bedrooms are graciously sized. There is a Roku TV in both living spaces and 4 of the 6 bedrooms. The home welcomes families or groups.

It also has a finished basement with a game room and rec room. Arcade games include NFL blitz and Ms PacMan, Asteroids, Tetris and many more game options. The basement rec room also has electronic darts, a foosball table and a large variety of games and puzzles. Snuggle in on the comfortable leather sectional for movie night! We provide 2 blow up mattresses to use in the basement family room.

There is also a large backyard with a patio, gas grill, and a fenced-in yard for pets and kids. Outdoor games are provided like Corn Hole, Croquet, and Ladder Toss. The shaded front patio offers soft lighting, a gas fire pit and seating for up to 10 people.

Guest access:
Guests will have the entire house to themselves and access to the garage as well. A storage room in the basement and 2 closets that access the eves on the second floor bedrooms are locked to prevent guest access.

Other things to note:
We have worked hard to convert this house from a long-term rental to an AirBnB. We are excited to have you experience our city. This is our first venture and we are anxious to make the guest experience a 5-star one.

During your stay the homeowners will be accessible to you, in person or by phone. You can ask for anything you might need during your stay, including dinner recommendation or great places to go.

Bruce is an incredible communicator and checks to ensure all needs are met. The property itself is perfect for a family gathering. I was concerned the layout might not be conducive to 20 or so people gathering for our Christmas gathering, but it actually proved perfect. So much so that we have already booked the property again for our 2026 family holiday gathering!

Right off the bat, my family and I were thinking about when we could make our next trip up and stay here. It was clean, finishes were well done, and comfortable. Plenty of room for our whole family, but good communal areas to hang out. Plenty of towels, glassware, silverware, and cookware. Honestly, the best part is the location. Incredibly convenient as it's close to I-80. We were at the zoo in 7 minutes, got to the Husker game in less than an hour, and there was plenty to do right around the house. Bruce was communicative and helpful, as well, throughout the whole process. A great experience overall.

This house was perfect for our large group. It was impeccably stocked with all the right supplies and had a lot thoughtful touches. The design and layout were ideal for my family of 9 adults. The house is super cute and had something for everyone-we especially liked the mini-arcade in the basement! The location was very central to everything we wanted to do. Graduation Weekend

We spent the weekend there to celebrate our son's college graduation. The house is gorgeously renovated and had all the things we needed. Work Conference

This is our second year staying here for a confernce at the CHI convention center. Perfect location for the center and such a better stay than hotels. We love that we can all comfortably stay here, have privacy when we need it, but team bonding time in multiple communal areas too. We will be back again if our conference continues to stay in Omaha. Wonderful home close to EVERYTHING!

This stay in Omaha was a perfect family getaway experience for us. Lots of bedrooms, bathrooms and space. Super clean, beautifully decorated, and the owners have thought of everything. Within 10 min of everything and so close to the zoo and downtown. Have to note that this has been the best rental host experience we have ever had! Amazing time for dads 60th!

We had an absolutely amazing day, celebrating my dad‘s 60th with our entire family at the Bancroft house! It was extremely clean, the linens and towels were super high quality, it was insanely clean, and absolutely anything that we could’ve possibly needed was provided for us in the house. I couldn’t recommend this property more!!! The option of adding baby gates for all of our toddlers to was extremely helpful, too. Such a beautiful house!
