Amanzi Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel
"We have stayed at the Amanzi Hotel in Ventura 3 times now. Each time the hotel was well-maintained, staff friendly and now that the outdoor pool, jacuzzi and lounging area is finished, there's even more amenities. Yes, it's very close to the Amtrak train tressel, but that's kind of interesting. Ample ..."

Bella Capri Inn
"I'm not sure how or why this hotel has so many great reviews. It's in a pretty happening area, so yeah, good restaurant and bar options (highly recommend Twenty88 for happy hour/appetizers/dinner, and House of Bamboo tiki bar after!🍹). But! Clocktower Inn Ventura
"We chose the Clocktower Inn based on the great reviews and its super location to everything. All walkable - which is a huge plus! It definitely was a fabulous hotel back in the days… like the 1990’s, but unfortunately the state of it today was rather sad - and worn down. The cleaning staff and breakfast ..."

Motel 6 Thousand Oaks, CA
"Spent two nights there on a very busy, full weekend. There are around 175 rooms here, so the place is big. And on this weekend, noisy with kids. All the staff were great and very helpful. The room was fine. I was hoping for a mini fridge with a freezer compartment but it had none. And for the entire ..."

But! The room was TINY - only a few feet larger in each direction than the bed. My boyfriend and I each managed to bang our heads on the wall-mounted TV while walking past the foot of the bed. There's no place (or space!) to hang out in the room, so I dragged the one little desk chair out on to the balcony facing the courtyard to sit outside & read... but the swamp coolers outside each room created a cacophony of noise and hot air, which was less than delightful. Also the courtyard is an actual parking lot, so not much to look at either. The surface of the small desk in our room was either burned or corroded, so it didn't *feel* clean even if it was. The bathroom was the size of an airport toilet stall, and the shower was the size of a coffin on end. The restaurant downstairs serves a very nice breakfast, but is technically outside of the hotel. I asked for late checkout and was offered an extra half-hour. Woohoo! At least it was free. On the upside, the bed was comfy and the swamp cooler did its job, albeit noisily. In short, it's the perfect hotel if you want to spend 100% of your awake time out on the town... and don't need a shower."
