In town for the Neptune Festival to compete

The check in was great. The lady helping check in was super nice and very helpful. She made sure we got what we needed and helped get me an extra blanket to cover the bed for the dogs. The only negative was when we walkes the dogs out the side door, we kept smelling a very strong odor of marijuana. The first night the police were there on our floor but not sure what that was about.

When checking in my credit card was a see to pay for two rooms. I reserved them with my card but t my brother was going to pay for his at check in. We told the guy working. He supposedly took it off my card and reran it on my brother’s. The change didn’t show up on my card or my brother’s. A lady corrected it the next morning.

The front desk staff was amazing! They were caring and helpful throughout our stay. The property is also central to everything and was a decent drive to/from the boardwalk. Breakfast was pretty good most days but as a non-meat eater, some days were difficult to find solid protein. The room was clean when found. The only downsides was the selective cleaning during the week. One day the bathroom linen wasn’t changed out. Also, the doors and other patrons could be noisy and with a pet friendly hotel, my allergies were hard to get a handle on (mostly my fault lol). All in all, great hotel with good people.

Our stay was for two nights, my room was quite small but comfy. I’m used to larger rooms especially for the two of us. As a solo traveler, I would definitely stay here. The television service was unpleasant, I couldn’t find any good channels nor would it allow me to log in to my personal streaming apps.

Advertise a pool and when we get there it’s green and we were told they keep it like that because the neighboring hotel guests would climb fence and swim in the pool but we pay more for amenities we can’t use?!?!? It wasn’t cheap per night either!

Worst Hotel in Virginia Beach

This was the worst Hampton that I have ever stayed in. The toilet ran the entire two nights and three days we were there. I called the front desk the first night and asked for somebody to check it, the guy said they were the next morning. No one came so Tuesday afternoon. We called again. The front desk and a gentleman came out and said oh it’s a slow fill toilet and I said it’s been filling for over 29 hours. Then when I drop something on the floor, I went down to get it and realized somebody who was there before us Left a pair of socks under the orange chair that was in the corner of the room. Then in the bathroom, the trashcan liner fell in, and I realize that they never really emptied or clean the trashcan from before, they had just put a new bag over it because there was a razor blade cover a, toilet paper roll, and a few other things still in the bottom of the trashcan. Also, I had gotten a shower the first day and used our towels, and they told us that they only clean the room every other day, so I did not know that I had to call and place an order for towels, so I could get a shower with clean towels for the next day. Even in cheap hotels, I’m used to having clean towels, daily, trash changed daily, just your average tidying up. I will be traveling and I’m sure back to Virginia beach again, due to my son is military there. I can guarantee you I will not be staying in this hotel, even though it is the closest and most convenient hotel to my son‘s apartment.
