Good location but property needs work
Below is the message I sent the property owner
Hello manny
Thank you for the opportunity to rent your home. As someone who rents a fair amount in the Bahamas I would have to say that this property was my biggest disappointment.
You seem like a very nice guy and I feel it is important that you hear my perspective on the experience I had at your property.
This is by far the worst condition property I have rented so far
The toilets in both back bathrooms leak and the master bath became inoperable several times the chain fall off the handle so you have to open the tank and replace the chain not the end of the world but not something that anyone wants to deal with while on vacation
The biggest disappointment was the kitchen
No dishwasher
No hot water
Appliances that appeared to be resurrected from a trash pile
The pots and pans were unusable scratched non stick is unsafe
A very poor and mismatch selection of dishes and silverware
This kitchen was in the worst condition of any I have ever been exposed to on vrbo
The washer and dryer were very rusty and the condition of the garage is horrible
I know you said that this area is not usually available to guest but it is listed as an amenity on your vrbo advertisement
The broken gas grill was dirty and in my opinion should not be considered a functional grill simply putting charcoal on a broken gas grill is not acceptable or functional
The overall cleanliness of the property was poor especially in the kitchen I should also note that we observed rats several times in the front yard by the garbage area
The hot water heater is way to small and it was impossible for more than 1 person to take a shower without waiting a period of time for more hot water this is not what you expect from a 3 bathroom house there were only 3 of us staying there and it was impossible for everyone to get ready for dinner without 2 people taking cold showers
I would also like to make you aware of your neighbors dog
It barks constantly and made it virtually impossible for anyone to get a decent nights sleep
I understand that the dog is out of your control but wanted to make you aware of this problem
I am sure with a little bit of work you could make this an excellent rental property but certainly not in its current condition
