If you want a HUGE resort with amazing sunrises and great snorkeling, give Atlantis a shot. This is one property I think everyone should visit at least once. It is stunning! I highly recommend going onto the FB groups for tips before visiting.
The snorkeling on paradise beach was absolutely more wonderful than I expected. We saw everything you could hope to - spotted eagle rays, sea turtles, octopus, lobster, tropical fish, coral...you name it. We spent the vast majority of our time on the beach. Bring your own snorkel and a swim shirt to avoid sun burn.
The water park and the pools were great. I LOVED the rapids river - such a cool idea. We were there 9 days and still didn't get to every pool- the place is massive. The Dig is 10/10!!!! It is an open air aquarium that you can walk through underground. Styled like the lost city of atlantis it is positively magical, both day and night.
We stayed at the Reef, and I would recommend the Reef or Cove. These were definitely the nicer hotels, and had amazing views. They also have a few private amenities. My only complaint would be the food - almost all of it was 'meh' - ok but nothing to write home about. The food is VERY VERY VERY expensive so bring anything you can from home - I always eat out when traveling but this was next-level pricey...breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids runs about $100-150, and dinner is around $200-250 for the cheaper meals.
