Honestly, this hotel is in desperate needs of improvements and updating. It is old, worn, dated and the front desk staff (though not rude) had little interest in creating hospitality. They are just going through the motions.
The gym, haha, was a 1980's Gold's gym bench, an old treadmill, stepper and stationary bike; there were 3 sets of dumbells and an old exercise ball; all crammed into a 5 x 8 room. If there were 3 people in there, you couldn't get in.
The hotel has a market on foreign travelers as was apparent during our 5 night stay. There were crowds of international travelers.
In order to keep the standards at a property, there should be standards of conduct upheld. Many of the travelers were loud; yelling in the hallways at all hours of the night; kids running around without supervision; guests leaving their trash in the hallways for pick up; a homeless woman in the lobby (recognized as a regular by the front desk).... and on and on....
The positive was that our room was clean. We had daily maid service but as each day progressed... less was done. On the last day, a few towels were left on the toilet and nothing else; no beds made, no trash taken out; weird actually.
This is my first time in a "La Quinta" brand hotel and it will be my last. The brand standards are sup-pare at best.
