The hotel was a little different from what I am used to. We parked in the parking garage and found our way to the 3rd floor to check in. The staff were very professional. The room was very clean but I would have enjoyed a mini fridge. The free breakfast was OK. Overall, the hotel was very clean but the stay was just OK.

Really great place to stay in Amherst
I'm a UMass alum, so I'm slightly biased about the Campus Center hotel, but it is a fantastic place to stay when I'm visiting the Pioneer Valley. The beds are comfy, the recent renovations are great. There are keurig coffee machines in the rooms and the continental breakfast is very good (I was happy to see hard boiled eggs from a farm in Wendell) The internet situation has improved, free wifi that works well all over campus (and gave me access to some research databases that were the reason for my visit--- several research days in the library, and several fun days of shopping and hanging out in Northampton). The rates feel a little high for the area, but the location can't be beat, especially if you are not bringing a car (although you get free parking in the campus center garage too) without a car I was a (nostalgic!) walk to Amherst Center and the free Amherst area bus system (and very inexpensive bus to Northampton) make it so convenient to get to most of the area.
My one wrinkle was that I accidentally reserved a room that was intended for people with mobility issues, so I was worried that my multiple day reservation (during a busy time for the hotel) was preventing people with mobility issues from getting the room they may have needed. The room was clearly marked online as an ADA room, but I didn't take the time to find out what that meant, so it really was my fault.
Along with a restaurant and a coffee shop/cafe, there's a snack bar/deli on site. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. Free breakfast is served. WiFi is free in public spaces. Business amenities include a business center and meeting rooms. Hotel UMass also features a library, coffee/tea in a common area, and concierge services. You'll have access to the health club at a partner property. Parking is available for a fee.
