Such a gem of a place. It’s nestled beneath redwoods and runs on septic— so expect a natural/eco resort experience. The fireplaces are excellent and the kitchenettes have the basics. Staff are kind and the grounds are nice to explore anytime of day. Ps- be sure to check out the Grove Cafe for the best gluten free breakfast and lunch options AND ‘The Bizarre Bazaar’ in town for vintage finds plus a trip to the whooshing well.

We had a pleasant stay here. The staff was super kind and helpful. The resort is surrounded by greenery and redwoods, felt calm and peaceful to be here. The cabin was so comfortable and we had everything we needed. We will definitely visit again!

Unforgivablely freezing inside. Internet doesn’t work. There is no central heating, just 1 oil heater for bedroom and a fake fireplace that only heats up if you stand next to it. We felt mislead and had a freezing stay - it felt like camping inside a musty cold cabin.

The cabin was not properly cleaned, and there were no additional clean blankets or sheets provided. The dishes were also unwashed; however, the surroundings outside the cabin were pleasant and tranquil.

I guess, overall a little disheartening. Our family last traveled two years ago, purely due to financial restraints, but given the school holiday, we decided it was time to head out somewhere. When we walked in the cabin door, my heart sank given the quality of the structure, the interior, on and off internet, and that all fees were already paid. Now reading reviews on other sites, I’m seeing this has been a past theme. The cost was no small sum and definitely a true commitment for us, but the returns were questionable. The geographic location is stellar for sure so that is the upside. I guess I sort of felt we would be walking into ‘wow’ but got ‘oh’. The overall situation needs a little boost… some investment love if you will… modernization across all rooms. It’s definitely a step above tent camping, but again, we left feeling it was misrepresented and that was that. Hoping the owners reach out with a half or full refund.
