"I think I found my go-to place in Monterey! The Lighthouse Cottages is perfect for those traveling with a pet and want to stay in a quiet tree-lined neighborhood a few minutes from the ocean and downtown. I stayed in a studio cottage and it was very spacious and felt like a cabin. My favorite thing about staying here was sleeping with the fireplace going several feet away. It was so cozy! There is a small patio area outside the room where you can sit with a cup of tea, and watch deer and birds pass by. The room cleaning does not automatically happen if you stay there 3 days or less (unless requested). I appreciated the privacy and taking care of myself. Because the cottage is on the ground floor and easy to access, it was easy for Uber Eats to delivery to me. Its not a luxury hotel but more like an airbnb cabin."
