Cleanest mom & pops hotel I have ever seen. Parking was easy. It is walkable to restaurants and shops but has some hills. Great place to stay.

Only stayed a night and had seen reviews about cleanliness and thoight the room was very clean. Front office staff very friendly as well. Big plus was plenty of parking and so close to everything in Carmel

Not worth the money. Simply tired property, basically no amenities and way overpriced just because of location (which isn't still as convenient as most others a few blocks down towards the atractions). There isn't even a sign of effort to make your stay desirable. Bathroom was fairly decent though so it has that going for it. I wouldn't recommend.

The surrounding area was beautiful since the inn was already in downtown and everything was walkable and had lots of dining and shopping options, but the room was extremely dusty. It felt like the room wasn't cleaned at all since it had a bit of a scent. It was also a bit weird that it was only our room that had a bathroom window that was accessible to anyone from the outside. We had to put a bathroom towel over it to ensure no one was looking or listening from the outside. Noise was also distracting, you can hear through the walls and it would be extremely unfortunate if youre on the ground floor since you can hear footsteps and any furniture movement from the 2nd floor. Parking was also really tight so be mindful of that. There are no air conditioners as well.

DO NOT STAY HERE

When I checked into the dingy room the bed looked like someone had slept in it. And hair in it. As well as in the bathroom in the shower. There was a filthy used large rag on the floor. The bedding looked dirty and ancient. The pool is in shambles. It truly represents the rest of this property. The ice maker out of order. No parking. So few spaces when I did try to park my car got blocked and could not get out. This place is an abomination to the charming city of Carmel. The owners need to severely renovate. Or sell the property to someone who can. Do not stay here to save money! It’s not worth it. Go 10 min away to Monterrey.

The staff was kind. Room was clean but shabby - old furniture and linens. Great location - easy to walk to the beach, shops and restaurants but for almost $500 a night I expected it to be much nicer.
