Fenwick Inn
"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Fenwick Inn! I was a solo traveler there Wednesday through Friday on an off-holiday week and booked the King Deluxe room. The inn gives vintage beach resort vibes with updated and clean rooms. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom and room had been recently renovated. Very clean, AC worked perfectly. I faced the road so a little traffic noise at night, but since this is the quieter end of OC, it was very peaceful by 11 each night. What’s around: There’s an excellent Mediterranean takeout place across the street that serves traditional dishes, but they also have an icecream bar and desserts and coffees, plus American fare such as burgers, chicken fingers, and French fries. A pizza place, sub shop, and bar are close by as well. It’s an easy walk to the beach - just one crosswalk. During my stay I got two complimentary beach chair rentals which was really nice. Rentals are located on the beach, so easy to pick up. There were umbrellas for rent too. I did not check out the Vista restaurant at the top of the hotel, but it looked like a very nice upscale dining option with rooftop views. Breakfast is included. Mostly continental type stuff, bagels, yogurt, fruit, etc. but they also had what looked like breakfast sandwiches and pancakes. This is a family-friendly hotel and there were lots of families with kids. Entertainment, shopping, and restaurants are all an easy drive away."
