There were stains on the bedding/floor and the furniture was worn out. The shower and sink clogged very quickly. Doors closing the hall in was very loud in my room as well which woke me during the night. I could make do due to the price but on the worse end of places I’ve stayed in Melbourne at this price.

Excellent room service, the food was great. Left a note asking for extra sugar packets, and they left a heap. Reception was super kind when I came in after getting caught in the rain as well. Only thing I would say is that I requested lactose free milk in the room on my booking and they provided full cream, I'm sure they'd have fixed it if I'd asked (I ended up buying a bottle for the week anyway). Recommended to my friends and family for their next Melbourne trip! Thanks to all the staff for a great stay.

I was given a room where the door wouldn’t close properly unless you pull it hard. On my first night housekeeping visited to drop off the bath plug while I was out then didn’t notice they left the door open. When I brought it up the staff member on duty asked me to check if anything was missing. I understood the concern but for me it was more about not feeling safe. I didn’t want to deal with that during a short two night stay. She spoke over me while I was trying to explain how I felt and I found her attitude pretty unkind. She did move me to another room which I appreciated but the whole thing was frustrating and I didn’t feel well supported. On a positive note the checkout team was helpful and let me leave my luggage until later which I was thankful for. Overall it wasn’t the experience I was hoping for and I’ll probably stay somewhere else next time I visit Melbourne central.

Staff were lovely at check in. While the room and bathroom were overall very clean, I did have to buy a room spray to mask the greasy smell of the duvet inner and some disinfectant wipes to wipe the grubby light switch and the area around it in the bathroom. Big comfy bed, great shower pressure, fantastic location with a view of Flagstaff gardens and Flagstaff train station just across the road. A good warm up walk away from the start line of the Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival.

Staff at hotel lobby quite courteous, location is excellent, breakfast spread doesn’t have a variety and didn’t appreciated the rationing done by housekeeping staff for replenishments for tea/coffee bags/water bottles, had more than one instance of dirty towels/sheets being re-used despite requesting for replacement. Cleaning is not that professional
