The hotel location at Docklands is quiet - no late night shops open for browsing on Friday night which is unfortunate, the area seemed empty, only select restaurants open and even those appeared empty. If you’re looking for quiet close to cbd, with similar amenities offered by places like crown or the Langham, than this place is ok.

The location and place is beautiful. I booked this stay for my wife for two days. She lost her dad recently and we have three kids ages 4,3 and 7 months and she deserved a break. I made a request for an upgrade or even just to make it a little special for her. but she didn’t get an upgrade or even a special set up or anything in the room even after the situation was acknowledged by staff before hand . It was her first time in Melbourne. ( we live in New Zealand) Although the property was nice she found the staff quite rude both in the reception as well as the breakfast buffet area. She wasn’t prioritised when requesting something like a coffee instead in the middle of a conversation or request staff would attend to other business like white people. Staff were picking and choosing who they would attend just by the colour of their skin. She travelled alone and was quite uncomfortable.

The staff were helpful and gave us a stub for welcome drinks. The room was spacious and comfortable. The gym facilities are really good considering it's a hotel gym. Overall comfortable and good stay.
