Front desk clerk (Brian) needs the proper training for customer service. My check-in was terrible. I was not aware of $100 incidental charge that had to be applied to my card. He tried to charge my card multiple times and it flagged it as a fraudulent charge. I got in contact with my bank and they had to send an email to the main office to show that it was me trying to do the hundred dollar charge. . Instead of Brian helping me fix the situation he made it a lot worse by repeating not once but five times that he was just going to cancel my reservation and I could just leave to another hotel mind you I had my two-year-old daughter who had not yet used the potty because I told her to wait until we checked in. I tried several options to get him to hold off on the incidental charge until my husband got there he said no I asked if he would wait for my card to clear he said no he said I just needed to leave and go to another hotel that is not the way you do business at a facility such as Hawthorne, especially when you’re traveling please get him the proper training that is needed or replacement with someone else who knows how to handle situations such as the one that I experienced
