Our second year staying at the Viceroy. Last year, it was a 10/10 experience. This time, the food and drinks have completely changed. We were warned last year by a bartender. He said the new management was going towards an all you can eat/drink direction. Sure enough, he was right. The food was terrible this trip. Drinks were watered down. You can’t be a luxury resort and also have all inclusive. Also, the crowd completely changed……hence the all inclusive option. It was mellow and relaxing last year. This time, we had multiple party rooms near the pool killing any chance of relaxing. It’s a bummer because the staff is still incredible. We were upgraded to a junior suite both years which was great. But for the money, we will look for somewhere else next time.

I booked a room with a “double bed” to find out it is NOT a full size mattress. It was smaller than a full size mattress and a little bigger than a twin. That was misleading and I was extremely disappointed to find out. Had to upgrade to a jr. Suite because the hotel did not have two queen beds available. All restaurants are expensive and I’m my opinion, not great. Service in the rooms were excellent but I can’t say the same for the bartender that works at casero restaurant. I never saw her smile once. Where the the customer service skills? It would annoy me to see her. I will not be staying here again. Resort was clean, nice and their gym was great but it’s not enough to make me stay there again.

Breakfast options were limited, so it was a little disappointing ,the Mexican restaurant had good food, roof top ambiance was mind boggling, our one bedroom suite was amazing , very clean and they had great room service and turn down service , butler assigned to us was on top of their game .
