Disliked: Cleanliness
The size of the home was perfect for our group size. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, with plenty of parking. The beds were cozy. I gave this home three stars because of lack of cleanliness in some areas mainly the kitchen.The home has 3 separate drawers in the kitchen that appears to be “junk drawers” several random items that would be useless to a guest. This made me feel as though the house is lived regularly in when it’s not booked. The AC vents upstairs and downstairs look like the filters have not been changed in years.The cabinet in the kitchen near the AC vent were filthy with dust. The cabinet / pantry was filthy with crumbs. The baseboards in several rooms had evidence of pet urine. There’s evidence of mold and mildew in the wall from a leak. There was also a leak from plumbing issues that came from upstairs that flooded the main living room and filled up bucket that we had to place there to catch the leak. It’s clear that this is ongoing issue because the ceiling appears that it will fall down any day. After reaching out to the host, we were informed that a Maintenance Man will come to check on the leak and they never showed up. The home is big and has the bare minimum when it comes to Furniture. With a few upgrades and repairs and clearly a new cleaning crew, this home could be really great.
