No nonsense hotel

Excellent location. We have stayed usually at Radisson Blu Bloomsbury so booked a standard room. Only complaint is that the room is tiny --it has a largish round glass table with two upholstered chairs which did not allow passage for both of us at once between bed and closet. Bloomsbury much larger standard room. Also Mercer St hotel has no drawers only closet -- with pillows occupying shelf. Again Bloomsbury has better storage. I complained about the cable service and was told that there is access thru the internet to other channels -- but could not figure out how this worked. Very nice staff.

Superb stay at Radisson

Superb service. Staff very well trained. Newly renovated. Had a great room. Breakfast was excellent. Great location at the heart of Seven Dials. At the heart of Covent Garden and the theaters districts. Close walking distance to Piccadilly / Oxford / Regent. Was on business, but would not want to stay anywhere else. I love a lively environment after I finish my business meetings.

Pros: Location, most Staff and cleanliness!
Cons: Communication with corporate and hotel staff.
Location: Coventry Garden, great access to tube, shopping!
Good Evening, We had a great visit, I called to request a wake up call for the following morning at approx. 1:10, wake up call for 9:15 a.m. The night manager discovered some sort of discrepancy in my booking. There was a double booking made in error reversing my first and last name. The night manager seemed to think that was a concern, he called me back at approx. 1:30 in the morning to clear this up. I asked him if he could take care of it or what should be done, he did not seem to know what to do. After hanging up at this hour knowing I am being charged for two rooms simultaneously, I called back downstairs to see if he had resolved the problem, I said would it be better if I came down to the lobby with my credit cards, he said that would be best. I got dressed got my cards and passports out of the safe and went down to the lobby, (again at approx. 2:00 a.m.) He seemed to then be able to solve the problem and told me my card would be credited. I am just not getting why this happened and why this had to be handled in the middle of the night. We had a fantastic visit and the reception, concierge and cleanliness of the hotel was perfect. We have family living in London and do plan to return. We are sorry this happened. Thank you in advance for your time and attention in this matter. Margaret Hunt , Room 104 Our visit was from Nov. 19 - 25. We also found it quite apauling to pay 2.75lbs for a glass of still water in the restaurant, no bottle or pitcher, one glass

The staff is wonderful.

This hotel is one of my favorites. We have stayed there a number of times and will probaly always stay there when visiting London. It is convient to many places. We always have the breakfast included in our rate and love it. WE cannot say anything negative about the hotel or its staff. The TV is confusing.

Perfect location. Great experience.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, easy accessiblity
Cons: overpriced restaurant
I would definitely stay here again. The location was perfect as it was within easy walking distance to so many sights & attractions within Soho & beyond. I was traveling as a solo female but felt very safe in the area. The staff was extremely helpful & very responsive to any requests. I stayed in one of their recently remodeled deluxe rooms which was small by American standards but very clean & efficient. I would recommend that you eat somewhere other than their in-house restaurant, however. The food was good but I felt it was overpriced compared to what you could get elsewhere. Overall, a great experience and I would recommend the hotel to others without hesitation.

Nice personnel and location, with some defects.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, close theater
We were allowed to occupy a room even tho we arrived mid-morning, but the room which was available was on uppermost floor, had twin beds and was hardly large enough for our luggage, much less ourselves. The room was hot (even tho the outside temp was not.)--thermostat ineffective. Location at 7 points was really nice for theater, dining and short walk from Covent Garden. Would return, but choose better room.

SPECIAL RATE MADE It WORTHWHILE

I was able to stay at the Montbatten because they were offering a special rate during the month of November. if the rates were not discounted I would have been well beyond my per diem and the value for the money would not have been worth it. The Radisson Edwardian chain is reliable and good, but often overpriced. I was there for one night and was treated well by the staff and found the room to be well maintained, small but comfortable.

Best place to stay in London!!!

If I ever travel to London again, I will absolutley stay here. The hotel is well decorated and clean, the staff is excellent, and the location can't be beat. The rooms are small (but not too small considering it's Europe). The hotel is within walking distance to so many areas and just a short walk to the underground. The bonus about this area is how quiant it is. It is cobblestone streets with plenty of shops, outside cafes and pubs, just perfect!
