The host double booked us, so after chasing the check in details they finally confirmed this at 16.00 on check in day. They then sought to relocate us to another property, which was in extremely poor condition and had the gas supply cut off meaning no heating or hot water.
We managed to find showers at Paddington station at a cost of £7 per person, we thought it would be reasonable for the host to cover this cost along with recompense for inconvenience - but unfortunately they reviewed.
Absolutely terrible host! Fortunately their agents TravelNest agreed with our issues and offered a refund.
Gas boiler showing fault, seems it wasn't serviced or checked prior to arrival. No hot water due to gas boiler. Damp smell as you enter apartment. Electric sockets held together with box with insulation tape. Socket and box not fixed to wall. No working kettle, lack of kitchen items ie. Plates, utensils, ect. Oven and hob not cleaned. Worktop dirty. Smoke alarm chirping. Unable to speak directly to owner, as they only replied by text. Would not answer outside hours. The list is endless. Left property after 1st night and payed to get another accomodation.
