Bathrooms had mold, water leaking under wooden floor in bathroom. We had to ask twice for room change as the fist concierge left his shift without passing on the information to the next colleague. The second night concierge was very helpful, although the room we were changed to on the same floor had mold as well in the bathroom. Smear marks on the black doors entrance and bathroom doors on both rooms at entrance. Cleanliness was very much lacking. The outrage was when the cleaning person used our charge that was not plugged in and tucked away, when we presented the facts to the same concierge as the night before, he did not apologize nor offer any discounts for all experienced inconveniences. Quite disappointing stay for the price charged.

Pros: room was nice, comfortable, spacious and clean. Liked having a kitchen with coffee and tea. Also appreciate having filter machine for water and ice. Staff were very friendly. Location was walkable to the main attractions and to a metro. Con: just a leak in the bathroom floor.

Excellent location, away from the crowded touristy Baixa but a few steps from the Metro. Lovely little restaurants abound. And the Eduardo VII park is a great amenity, full of birds and beautiful walking paths. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Our check in staff was great. The regular staff after our check in, not so much. We asked for water and got it at check in. They said there was a mini bar and there was not. We stayed for 3 nights and request water each day. We were told we had to pay extra for it. Then upon check out, a staff person told us we could go to the 9th floor to refill Our bottle. That would have been great info to have when we checked in.
