We stayed for the holiday season. our first time in chicago and we are pleased that we chose this hotel. Very clean and quiet. Friendly staff. Only one thing is that mattress is uncomfortable.

We had a 2 night stay and opted for staybridge because of the amenities they offered. There were 6 of us and the two bedroom option was perfect. We came to watch my son graduate boot camp and this offered us the ability to give our sailor a home cooked meal before having to go back to base. Our first night there we learned they offered and evening meal. We were told it was tacos and went to check it out. They had salsa tortillas and turkey. That was it. I would hardly call that a taco or a meal. We decided to order in with the "room service" menu that was in our room. When we called the number they had no idea of 1/2 the things on the menu and the price they gave us was significantly more expensive than what we added up. We decided to just order pizza instead. On our second night, we went to make food and the back burner on the stove didn't work. While a minor inconvenience, it was something I was willing to overlook. When we got back from dropping my son off, my 6 year old daughter saw a mouse running around the room. I notified the front desk of the situation as someone else in the room was attempting to catch the mouse. She was unsure of what to and then offered us to switch rooms, which we did. It was a huge inconvenience to pack 6 people up and move to another room, and throwing out any food we had as we had no idea how long the mouse was there or what it could have gotten into. The second room was noticably cleaner and nicer than the first room we had.

Our room itself was clean and tidy. The television was unplugged. Not a big deal. No dishes to be used in kitchenette. That was annoying. Amenities seemed nice. Breakfast bar was nice for a pandemic situation. Lots of options. Overall what stood out throughout our stay was the pervasive stench of marijuana smoke, day and night. When it rained, cigarette smoke wafted in through the vents despite our room being no smoking. Lots of long-term residents love there, who were happy to lend unsolicited advice for avoiding the Lincolnshire police. Nobody wore masks despite that being a posted requirement, so it was clear that management does not enforce any rules. Staffing wise, I am not sure there are enough staff to manage effectively.
