yeah, OK

Pros: cheap beer, easy self park, not problems checking in or out
Location: walking distance to the Rio and the Palms. Stay on the Westside for restaurants or convenience stores that are easy to drive to and park.
Standard budget casino and hotel off the strip. If you want to lounge in the hotel and soak up the vibe, this isnt for you. This is great for a cheap bed not far from the action. Very cheap beer but you have to get your timing right - I could never work out why a beer was sometimes $1.25 and sometimes $4.00 for the same bottle. But hey, I have paid $8 for the same thing elsewhere. Room was pretty standard. Odd little window in the bathroom so close the sliding bathroom door if you dont want wakened by the daylight.

Rude registration desk

First time at the Gold Coast, never again! Booked 2 rooms. One for my girls who turned 21 and one for me and my husband. I booked us a deluxe King room and got a rude attitude at the front desk that when you book online you never are guarenteed a King bed. So had to sleep in separate double beds. Got the 1st floor way at the end of the 2 mile long hall. No extra blankets in room and mattresses were horrible. Construction started right at 6:50am Monday morning, so no sleeping in. The noise from trucks off loading air ducts was so loud we flew out of bed. I felt like the front desk punished us for getting a good deal online and gave us the worst room possible.

Requested and received early check in.

Pros: The room was quiet throughout the night and didn't hear any hallway or outside noise. Remodeled rooms are very nice.
Cons: Can't think of anything. Family enjoyed the stay.
Location: This was a trip to visit family who live in Las Vegas so pretty much had them come to hotel for dinners. Took advantage of the nice pool area/casino
This is my second stay in the past six months and we so pleasantly surprised at the new remodeled rooms. Everything is beautiful and I enjoyed being away from downtown with all the crowds and noise. Utilized the pool, restaurants and casino. Staff at check in, bellman and valet parking were all professional and happy to assist us.

Gold Coast for New Years

Excellent room and excellent stay overall, only complaint was that our room was not cleaned two of the five days we were there, in the hotels defense however, we did sleep until noon after extensive revelry the nights before. Overall was pleased with the hotel

requested a non-smoking room..N/A

Pros: not much
requested non-smoking room...was told a check, none available... room stunk like an ashtray... then... internet access... said on the check in screen that it was $0 for 24 hours... got charged $72... will never ever use that hotel again & definitely will not refer it to anyone either..... rumor that they lost one of the big "AFTER PARTY" because of the same type of crap that I got.... BAD SERVICE!!!!

It was all good. Front desk is friendly. Our room was ready when we arrived. The room was clean & neat. Housekeeping does well with their work. For sure we will come back.

Beds are uncomfortable

Pros: Location
Cons: Better mattresses, put refrigerators in rooms.
Location: easy access to strip
We didn't sleep hardly at all since the mattress was so uncomfortable. Good location, easy to get in and out. No fig in the room which was disappointing. Old hotel but upgraded. Safe and clean.

Below average hotel and casino

Went to the front desk with my reservation. The woman there was not friendly. She basically handed us the keys and that was it. She seemed put off by helping us, didn't bother telling us the floor or which way the elevators were something pretty basic at other hotels. Seems like every place in Vegas charges resort fees now which is bogus in itself. Our WiFi did not work on any of our devices. The tv only has a few channels. You would think after paying expensive resort fees you would have full cable access and working WiFi. Waste of money altogether.

Perfect!

We stayed for just one night, got a free upgrade to a top floor suite, and had a wonderful time. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. It was fun to play some slots in the casino downstairs. It's got a free shuttle to the strip, also. We would totally stay here again.

Close, but not on the strip

When I received my confirmation email, I was aware of a $15.00 fee at the hotel. What I wasn't aware of, it that when checking in, the hotel required a card on file, as well as $100 security deposit charged at that point. I was also told that that money would be returned, as long as the room didn't receive and damage, propert stolen. .. etc. They can take the money faster than they can put it back, as I'm still waiting for the credit back. Another nice thing about my room: the bathrooms don't lock. It's a good thing I was only in town one night with a trusted friend. Also. I was told that I get 10 dollars off any purchase at any shop in the hotel. I used that 10$ credit, and it was charged on my card anyway. So I feel very misinformed about my whole stay there. If you're going to stay, just accommodate for that 100 they are going to take anyway.
