The stay was very good. Room was clean, except for vents full of dust. Air conditioning could use some care. The Bed was so comfy and we loved the pillows! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. And everything was going so well. We spent Friday night having a few drinks and some apps. And enjoyed conversation with the Bartender Kade. I understand the working field is so lack on people wanting to work. But Kade can't run the bar by himself, especially when you are busy with tables. We found this out when we came back on the next night for dinner. We had reservations at 7:15 and we showed up around 6:00 to sit at the bar and have a few drinks before dinner. When we arrived we spoke with Seth and he told us we could not sit at the bar (which was empty) because Kade was too busy making drinks for the dining room and he was the only bartender. I was flabbergasted by what Seth said! I explained to him we were staying at the motel and had dinner reservations. And he still insisted that we leave and come back. So I went to the front desk of the motel and addressed my concern with the associate there. She went and talked to Seth and they agreed we could sit at the bar but Kade would not be able to attend to us for awhile. Very upset we went to the bar and Kade was attending to us immediately. This made no sense to us. We also saw Seth trying to turn down more customers for seating at the bar and they did not comply. This was a very upsetting situation Seth created.

Beautiful property ! We had a lake view room! The food in the restaurant was fabulous. The service was awesome. We can’t wait to go again!

Great view of the lake and our room felt more like a luxurious bedroom rather than a hotel room. The staff was very nice and we got complimentary champagne upon arrival. This was a very pleasant stay.

We stayed here one year ago to the day and our experience was great. We wanted to make it a tradition every year, but our experience this time around was horrible. An hour after checking in we wanted to relax. I opened the cover to the bed and the sheets had a stain so we called the desk and had the sheets changed. It was also chilly so I turned on the heat. When the housekeeping came I asked if it was cold in the room she said yes and looked at heat/ac panel she said I did everything correctly but she increased the temperature a little to see if it worked. Well, I had the heat on since 4pm, she came at 6, we had dinner and came back to the room around 10 and it was still cold. I called the front desk and the lady came up and checked everything and said ‘it should work fine now’. I asked what she did different from what I had done as I was watching her, she got flustered and said ‘I don’t know what’s wrong.. I will call the maintenance guy and call your room’. After 30 plus minutes of waiting I decided to go down to the desk myself. She was trying to get off her shift and brush our heating problem off to the next shift. That next person came up to the room and checked the control again and said sorry there’s nothing she can do without the manager. She tried to tell me the heating system in our room was connected to everyone else. I laughed! She gave us an extra blanket as she couldn’t find a space heater. Did even switch our room! Save yourself the stay!

The property has been updated and is beautiful. The dining options at the hotel are not great. Food selection is only good for people who want pork and sausage. If you are vegetarian, vegan, kosher or otherwise don’t want meat, you’re out of luck.

Beautiful view of lake. No workout facilities. No pool. It's a bit dated: Circa 1990's with a claw foot bathtub in the room - not in the bathroom, in the room where the bed is. With mirrors on the wall by the tub. Staff overall was fine, some were exceptional and some marginal. A broken tv couldn't be fixed. Since they weren't full, an offer to move me to another room would have been nice. A bit expensive for what you get ($400/night for lake view). Ate several meals in restaurant - food was good for the most part. Had one exceptional meal, one that was 2 stars, one average. Sometimes the service in the restaurant was slow. Most of the time there was one person working the front desk, so if they were helping another guest, you would wait 10 minutes until that guest's issue(s) were resolved. All that being said, I'd probably stay again just because it's the only place smack on the lake.

Thank you for your review. You will be happy to know that our workout room was being renovated at the time of your stay. I am sorry we could not get your TV working, but yes would have been happy to move you to another room. We do have rooms without the claw foot tub, some of our guests actually ask for them. I am glad you will visit again!
