Ok Stay

I didn't like that it was outside entry. The room was less than clean but not filthy. Room smelled musty.

No towels and no room service done

We stayed at this hotel for three days. Since we got there there were no towels in the room. My husband when to get some from the lobby and he got two. On our second day the room did not get serviced. On our way out we asked for a manager and there was none. We had never had a worse experience at a hotel. If you can chose stay at some where else.

Terrible room. I had to partially reassemble the sink bottom when I got into the room. There was some kind of residue on the curtains (to keep my sanity I'll just assume it was snot and not something more disgusting). This room was definitely not worth the money even though it was pretty cheap comparatively.

For the price, you could have better accomodations

Service was poor. Requested late check-out upon check-in. Front desk called next day to encourage check out at normal time. TV is from the Mesozoic era.

Nice hospitality but really bad sleep

My boyfriend and I went to laguna beach for our 6 year anniversary and wanted a good hotel that wasn't to expensive in orfer to spend money on other stuff. The only reason we did that was because we were only staying for one night. The lady at thebfront desk was very friendly. The room itself was nice and looked exactly like the photos. The two biggest problem we had was one the hotel room key never worked. It took me five minutes to open the door once we checked it. And when we came back for dinner we had to get a new key brcause the first two weren't working at all. And then in the middle of the night there was really loud stammering noises. Either they were from upstairs or the side of us but we couldn't pin point it. I had to call the front desk since it was becoming very bothersome. The lady said she was see what was going on but I don't believe nothing was done since it kept going, stopped and started again in the morning. Breakfast the next day was simple and okay. I only recommend this hotel for a one night stay and not get a room by or above the hotel lobby.

Nice hotel, comfortable and quiet. The only thing that bothered me was the WiFi was terrible and I couldn’t do any work on my computer because it kept going in and out every 5 minutes.

Not even worth my "free" night

After arguing with the front desk about the room we reserved, they gave us a room that was still dirty. Bed hadn't been changed, old food was left behind and BLOODY towels. When we told the front desk, their response was that housekeeping was gone for the night so there was nothing they could do! After I insisted that we get another room, we had to ask for towels (3 times), and we had to get our keycard fixed twice. Hotel was a bit older and in need of an update. My kids saw roof rats as were were leaving the property the next day... Worst customer service I've ever experienced at any Choice Hotels property.

Hotel was nice but breakfast had rotten fruit

The first morning i told staff that the apples (only other fruit were oranges that i didnt try) were all rotten. They took the bowl and the second morning they put the same rotten fruit out. Only one flavor of yogurt (strawberry). Out of eggs each morning. Rooms were good though.

Nice BUT...

The staff was very nice. I can see the hotel did nice upgrades, however there is a rodent problem. I saw a rat on two occasions. My door didn't work. I had trouble getting in all night.

Not so comfortable

The gentlemen checking us in and out was very nice. The room was uncomfortable, it felt dirty and they really needed new sheets. There were stains on these sheets and it made us really uncomfortable to sleep on their bed. The was a crazy guy yelling and cursing when we were checking in. We won't be coming back here.

Basic but does the job

I have stayed here a few times in the past but this time was a bit less pleasant- nothing major but a bit of an inconvenience. My room didn't have bar soap which was a bit of a pain and the remote control wouldn't work if it was anymore than 18 inches away from the TV. Not the end of the world but a bit annoying.

First night TV didn't work. Transferred to another room, had no microwave and phone didn't work. After 4 nights, no one responded to my request, was unimpressed by hiotel's lake of concern.

Terrible experience with other guests

It was a one night stay while attending an AYSO coaching class in laguna. The room was ok though very dated and the tv an old bulky type with poor reception. Checking in was efficient. What really ruined my night was a couple of drunks that were extremely loud by the pool just before midnight until around 3 am. I called the reception from the room twice and no one picked up. I eventually got a hold of reception and told them I would call the police if they did not take care of the problem. Eventually the drunks left but by then my night was ruined. It was beyond me how no one else or one of the managers could not hear the noise..

Never stay again

Room looks nothing like the picture posted. Room was extremely HOT, air conditioner not on, temp. outside was 102 and was every bit of that in the room. Had to leave for several hours until the room cooled off. They only provided 1 washcloth (for 2 people) and no bath mat every day we stayed, had to ask everyday for 1 more. Said they had a towel shortage, guess they wanted us to share. Had to ask for juice and eggs to be replenished for their complimentary breakfast. They don't provide cream cheese for their bagels, at all.

We were given the lowest price therefore we were given the handicap room. The bed linen was stained and dirty. There was only towels for one person. The shower was for chair access. We asked to change rooms and were told that's the room we get for paying the lowest price. We stayed out as late as possible because we really didn't want to go to our room.
