PROPERTY LAYOUT & HOST PRESENCE
Our family home is next door to the Lodge, and a separate area beneath the Master Suite is also used by us as an office/meeting space. Because of the property's layout, guests may sometimes hear normal conversations or activity. We respect our guests' privacy and do our best to keep noise to a minimum. We do not enter the private guest accommodations during a stay except when requested or when necessary in an emergency.
Outside, you may see our family tending to the animals, gardens, and grounds, or enjoying our property throughout the day. This is part of the experience of staying on an active family homestead rather than a secluded vacation property.
THE LODGE
Your private guest accommodations have their own entrance and are reserved exclusively for your group during your stay.
Enter through your own private entrance on the back side of the building and settle into a spacious lodge-inspired retreat featuring warm rustic décor and beautiful country views.
PLEASE NOTE: The Lodge's primary living area, kitchen, dining area, and Master Suite are located on the second floor, while the open loft sleeping area is located on the third floor and is accessed by a spiral staircase. Guests should be comfortable using stairs.
The entry room, which we call the family room, offers seating, a sofa sleeper, desk, books, games, an electric fireplace, and a Smart TV—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
Upstairs you'll find an open-concept living area with seating for 18 guests, a fully equipped kitchen stocked with cooking essentials, a spacious dining area, and panoramic views across the property.
A leather sofa in the living room area can accommodate an additional sleeping guest if needed.
A porta-crib and highchair are available upon request.
MASTER SUITE
The private Master Suite features:
* King-size bed
* Indoor jetted soaking tub
* Electric fireplace
* Smart TV
* Beautiful country views
LOFT
The open loft overlooks the living area below and comfortably sleeps up to five guests with two queen beds and a log-style single bed.
Please note: The loft is accessed only by a narrow spiral staircase and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or anyone uncomfortable using spiral stairs.
AROUND THE PROPERTY
Honey Hill Homestead is our family's home and an active working farm, so guests should expect normal farm and family activity during their stay. Our free-range chickens roam the property daily, and our dairy goats may occasionally be out exploring as well. You may see our family tending animals, gardens, and grounds throughout the day.
Take a peaceful walk through the woods, hike to the waterfalls, spend time around the pond, or simply relax while taking in the scenery.
The pond offers seasonal opportunities for fishing, swimming, and even ice skating when conditions permit. Please ask before participating in seasonal activities.
Depending on the season, you may also see wildflowers, butterflies, migrating birds, and spectacular fall foliage.
Don't forget your camera—our waterfalls, wildlife, sunsets, and farm animals provide endless photo opportunities throughout the year.
SHARED HOT TUB
Our nine-person outdoor hot tub is a shared amenity located behind the two homes near our family's backyard. Simply let us know, with as much advance notice as possible, when you'd like to use it, and we'll prepare it for you and close it up when you're done. While the hot tub is shared, you will have private use of it during your requested time, and we make every effort to give guests space to relax and enjoy it. It is available year-round except during routine maintenance or occasional scheduling conflicts.
TRAVELING WITH A LARGER GROUP?
Contact us before booking to ask about additional accommodations that may sometimes be available, including RV parking, our travel trailer, or tent camping. All additional guests and arrangements require advance approval.
IMPORTANT HOUSE RULES
We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable stay while respecting our home, farm, and other guests. Our primary rules are straightforward: no unapproved visitors, parties, events, meetings, or pets. Only registered guests are permitted on the property unless arrangements have been made with us in advance.
Smoking or vaping is prohibited inside all buildings and near doors and windows.
Please review the complete House Rules before booking, which include additional information regarding the farm, shared amenities, safety, and care of the property.
We look forward to welcoming you to Honey Hill Homestead and sharing a truly unique country experience you'll remember long after your stay ends. Your next unforgettable getaway starts here.
