"A Magical Mediterranean Stay in Tarragona! There are not enough words to describe how much we enjoyed Hotel Boutique Làpety. From the moment you enter the gates, you know you’ve discovered someplace specials. This charming Mediterranean hacienda sits on a lush estate filled with olive and fruit trees, beautiful gardens, terraces and a wonderful swimming pool—the perfect retreat after exploring Tarragona. Our second-floor Premium Suite was exquisite, with an incredible eight large arched windows offering beautiful views across the property, Tarragona and toward the Mediterranean. What truly made our stay unforgettable were the gracious proprietor, Carmen, and her son Carlos. We immediately felt like old friends, sharing wonderful conversation and what seemed like a bottomless bottle of cava! Carmen patiently helped with our broken Spanish and gave us fantastic recommendations for beaches, sightseeing and finding authentic artisan Spanish abanicos as souvenirs. Breakfast in the garden was delightful—cappuccinos, Spanish meats and cheeses, fresh fruit from the property’s orchard and, of course, more cava! We originally booked only two nights, but Làpety and Tarragona completely stole our hearts, so we added another night before continuing to Valencia. We arrived as guests and left feeling like friends. We cannot recommend Hotel Boutique Làpety highly enough and would return in a heartbeat!"

"We had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Pigal in central Tarragona, Spain. The location is excellent—within a reasonable walking distance of the Roman amphitheater, the port, the old town, the central market, and plenty of restaurants. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional hospitality from Charlie, the hotel owner/manager. He was incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English. When we arrived, he immediately took the time to personally show us where to park, which was especially helpful in a busy central location. Charlie also spent considerable time with us going over a city map, pointing out the key sights and explaining the best ways to get around Tarragona. I noticed that he did the same for other guests as well, which says a lot about the personal attention he gives to his guests. He also clearly explained how to use the communal meal area and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was clean, comfortable, and efficiently arranged—exactly what we needed for our stay. The hotel is also very reasonably priced for such a convenient central location. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a clean, well-located, reasonably priced hotel with genuinely personal service. Charlie makes Hotel Pigal feel much more welcoming than a typical hotel."
