Fisher’s Hana Bay Hale - In Hana Town across from the Bay STHA-2017 0002
"This was a great place to rest for a night on our Road to Hana journey. I am so glad that we decided not to drive the return trip the same day as we were exhausted after the Pipiwa hike! This is such a cute place and was for the most part very clean. I did notice the inside of the bathroom door was very dirty and could use a good cleaning or perhaps a painting. I was reading through the guestbook and learned that the door code is never changed which I found very alarming. The fact that anyone who has stayed there could have gained entrance while we were sleeping or while we were gone was a bit disconcerting. Luckily I didn't read about this until the morning we left so I was able to sleep ok. I would not leave anything valuable in this unit (no safe that I noticed either) and would be sure to use the hook lock on the external screen door as well. Our place in Kihei changes the code for every guest as they change it to the last 4 digits of your phone number so you know no one else has had your code or would have access to it. This could easily be completed by the cleaning crew after each visit. "
