"Great Breakfast and close to Waikiki Beach"
About a 5 block walk to the central part of Waikiki Beach, the hotel lets you borrow a beach chair and towel every time you go. They also have an included breakfast that is an amazing mix of American and Asian breakfast tastes. Fresh pancakes (it's someone's job to make them on the spot) sausages and ham, scrambled and boiled eggs, oatmeal and cereal, noodles, rice and vegetables, kimchi, hot sauce, cabbage, kidney beans, muffins... the choices seemed endless to me. They also have videos to rent with your DVD card. (There is a resort fee for all of this, but it seems small for all you get) The front desk folks were always friendly and exhibited the "aloha" spirit of Hawaii. Nice open lobby for reading, conversing or waiting to be picked up. Small friendly lounge with happy hour. The pool is small, and only really possible to soak in, but is open until 10 p.m., so might work for evening relaxation. My room was comfortable and clean but nothing special. However, the view from the lanai over the canal was wonderful. Bathroom shower dripped a bit, in fact the bathroom is where the hotel shows its age... but if you're looking for a low-cost, comfortable stay, I don't think you can do better. I'll definitely return!

"Well with the stay!"
Easy check in and our room was beautiful. We could see the pool, the beautiful gardens, and the ocean from our balcony. The bed was a king and exceptionally comfortable. They had an amazing buffet breakfast. I definitely would stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Hawaii.

"Not a star 3 but good enough!"
The location of this hotel is the best thing about it, 4-6 blocks from several beaches, about the same distance to high shopping and good restaurants. Leave your car at the hotel and walk as you won't find parking, if you do it will be expensive. Parking is expensive at the hotel, so plan for that and the hotel staff doesn't provide information unless you specifically asked for it.

""Ocan View" is really "Partial Ocean View""
Only 4 stars because we specifically booked and paid more for an "Ocean View" room thinking we'd get one that faces the ocean...Wrong...this was a "partial ocean view" and should have been listed as such. The room was on the side of the building, and if you cranked your head over the balcony, you saw the ocean. I had a better view of the construction going on below and other buildings with real "ocean view" rooms, than the actual ocean. We were only there for one night on our last night in Hawaii so I didn't waste my time with the busy front desk people trying to argue. We tried calling down for about 5 mins, but they were busy and never answered so we said we wouldn't make a big deal of it. CALL AHEAD OF TIME AND CONFIRM THAT THE OCEAN VIEW ACTUALLY FACES THE OCEAN AND NOT ON THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING. Other than that, the hotel is nice and close to everything, just wish I didn't pay more for the falsely advertised room.

"Loved this place!"
We absolutely loved our stay at Turtle Bay. We loved being on the North Shore away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. This was a family trip with my husband, son, daughter and son-in-law. The three-bedroom ocean villa was perfect for us. It gave us plenty of room to hang out together but each have our own space as well. I cannot say enough about the fantastic service we received everywhere in the resort.

"WOW- Great Value for Luxury"
My husband and I spent 5 days at the Trump International Hotel in Waikiki. From the moment you get out of the vehicle they are there to take your bags, greet you with Shell leis, better than flowers they don’t die and whisk you to reception. Every staff member we bumped into whether reception, concierge, bellhop or housekeeping was friendly and smiled. The room was WOW. Very clean with kitchenette fully stocked with pots, dishes, blender, toaster, refrigerator, sink, microwave and stove top. Everything you need to cook and enjoy your meals, plus save money on eating out all the time. Every room, from what I understand has a balcony and even with a city view, we had a partial ocean view. They made sure you had bottled water always on hand if you needed more it was a simple call to reception and it was at your room within minutes. There is also a small food truck lot next to hotel that sold local foods. We had a few meals there and it was good for the price. But get there early, they sell out fast. Pool is not very large, but perfect for wading. There is also a hot tub spa for relaxing in. The pool has a lot of lounge chairs some in sun and some in shade. I didn’t come to Hawaii to swim in a pool, but I did use the hot tub. There is poolside service with bar and food. I highly recommend the Mai Tai and the Lychee Mojito. Nicole and Tanja, pool attendants were so very attentive, friendly, and just made the stay perfect. Concierge was also very helpful, especially Mia

"Beautiful old hotel. Pity about the queue. "
This is a beautiful old hotel right on the beach in Waikiki. Most is good - including location, hotel and rooms. Only negatives are: * Huge queues for check in and check out (they really need more front desk staff). After a long flight its torture. * Rooms are tight on the small size. Maybe to be expected for old hotel. Note to management: Fix the bug in express check out to allow people entitled to late checkout to express check out. If you are having staffing problems as you obviously are, this would help.
