"We stayed at Puffin Inn at arrival and were supposed to have stayed the day of departure but that hotel was very old, dirty and expensive so we cancelled the departure night and found this VRBO. It was so much better than the hotel. We were able to relax and hang out for the night instead of being stuck in a dirty old hotel room. Clean, easy to check in and a good end to our vacation. "

"Jewel Lake was a house style Bed and Breakfast. You make your own breakfast, but the kitchen was stocked well. Our room was in the basement with steep stairs so I don’t recommend those rooms for older travelers. There are rooms on the main floor of the house. Clean and comfortable. We would recommend for a short stay. Most people use it for cruise layover time. We took an Uber into Anchorage and did a tour which was fun too. "
